Bodypaint and Swimsuits. These are a few older pieces done by the artist Bryan Crump of The Crump Effect. He has been bodypainting since before 2001. When he first got started he was dealing with some complications from overmedication from the VA. It would take more than ten years for him to reach this level with his work. Today he still has his personal challenges and has been working to overcome disability and create something that he wants to leave a positive mark in the world. Bodypainting has been taking media by storm lately with shows like Skinwars, Faceoff, Project Runway, Naked Vegas and so many more... Bryan is one among many talented artist that exist in the world. Bodypainting is not new to the world and is in fact one of the earliest known ways that humans have expressed themselves. Some tribes across the world believed there were certain spirits, insight and genius that would not come to you, until you were first transformed or transformed yourself. It can be hard to do in an age of information overload. This unique art form can take many hours, and in its creation can teach many things such as patience, focus, stillness, meditation, communication and presence, just to name a few.
