Confession - I have no remorse if I have to cut off a chick and stop dealing with her BEFORE we ever have sex. that way I dont owe em any explanation. If we have sex, then I feel a bit of an obligation to give them closure for whatever the reason may be. but if we hadnt have sex, and I notice I dont like how dirty her ears are or she says something thats a deal breaker for me, I just fall off the face of the earth and disappear, and not care.
Have you actually canceled someone for having dirty ears?
So I was just sitting here thinking. You know when we're talking about monumental times in tumblr history, its one event that was major, on ur end and im shocked you never talk about it. That time dorment mentioned your blog once(making it more popular than it was). And tumblr deleted yo shit, and you made them run that shit back!! Cause them deleting it wasn't justified. How was this forgotten?!
lol
I remember during the time that happened, I was (casually) talking to this girl I met on Tumblr who used to work for MySpace. And when my blog got deleted by Tumblr I was saying how it was unjustified, and Tumblr never gave me a reason and that I was going to make sure they reversed their decision.
She was like “I’ve worked for a social network, you’re not getting your blog back and they’re not going to give you an explanation. Sorry to break it to you”
I was like … “aight bet.. .watch this”
A week later I had my blog back, an apology from Tumblr, and the direct email address of an employee.
When I put my mind to something you can consider that shit done.
So I was just listening to Usher's Confession album on Apple music. For one, Confessions is still very much such a classic.. Anyway, for whatever reason, they had the remix on there with Shyne, twista, and Kanye.. Times were much more simpler back then. Men rapping & singing sympathetically about infidelity and accidental pregnancies. Shyne was in prison like 17 yrs and recorded 2 songs over the phone, a diss to somebody and confessions remix lol how random was that tho😂😭
I completely forgot about Shyne dropping those prison bars
Lets take it waaaay back. I cant listen to "Foe the love of $" without also listening to "Moe Cheese" immediately following it. For nostalgic reasons.
I’m the same way with “Mr. Bill Collector” and “Budsmokers Only”
Ced and Bryant got me in tears.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRYANT!!!!!!!!!!

Digging a little bit into the controversy of Quentin Tarantino being racist. I have to ask, He cast Samuel L Jackson in 90% of his movies.. Sam Jackson seems like he wouldnt really be down with something like that, being such an strong minded aggressive brotha.. You think QT pays him so much money to be in his films that its hard to turn down, or Sam truly is good friends with him and strongly feels he isn't racist at all?
We’re living in a time where Black pride and Black militancy is making a resurgence.
We are also living in a pitchfork culture. Where its extremely easy for one person to say “this person or thing is wrong or evil” and then everyone else says “YEAH” and they grab their shotguns and pitchforks and chase them out of town. Sometimes this is a good thing, sometimes its not.
So when you combine these two elements it can create an explosive situation.
when you take all of this into account, we’re just not in a culture thats going to let a White screenwriter use the word “nigger” in 80% of his movies without being called out. Its simply not going to happen.
The current climate - especially on the internet - is not a place where you can have nuanced conversations about the word “nigger” in film. There is no room for nuance when you’re having discussions with large amounts of people online.
Black people have been through so much shit that we’re in a zero tolerance zone now. There aint no more talking.
With all of that said. Sam jackson (who was hella politicized in the 60s) and QT have known each other for over 20 years. I’m sure if Sam had any doubts about QTs stance on Black people they wouldn’t have a relationship anymore.
