Pairing: Various CE Fictional Babes x their (different) f!readers
Summary: Superior AI - a custom AI to fulfill your every need. (In this verse, some of the CE!babes will be AIs, and some of the Readers will be, it varies on storyline.)
Everyone knew who Bryce Langley was on campus. He was that guy. The gorgeous one. The team captain. The charming flirt. The one girls pined after. The one who always seemed to have someone on his arm. Usually some stunning girl who looked like she had stepped out of a magazine.
You had watched more girls than you could count cry over him. Every one of your friends had given you some version of the same warning.
"Do not fall for Bryce."
"You'll just be another girl."
"He likes the chase."
"He'll move on."
You agreed with every one of them. From everything you had seen, he simply was not worth the heartache. Which was why you had never wasted any time chasing him.
It was also why, when you looked up from your philosophy textbook one afternoon and found Bryce already watching you, you were completely caught off guard. The second your eyes met, he looked away and buried himself in his own book.
Tucking a strand of hair behind your ear, you frowned to yourself before returning to your notes. It was nothing. At least, that was what you told yourself.
Until it happened again. Not in class this time. You were sitting in the football stadium watching practice when the offense came off the field. Bryce pulled off his helmet, glanced toward the stands, and his eyes found yours.
For one suspended moment, neither of you looked away.
Then someone called his name. He turned, jogged toward his teammates, and the moment was over. You forced yourself to look back down at your phone. No good could come from reading into it.
The problem was…it kept happening. In the cafeteria. At parties. Even in the library. Every time you caught him looking, you convinced yourself it meant nothing. Eventually, you almost started expecting it.
Then came the cheer competition.
You were sitting high in the bleachers covering the meet for the campus paper when Bryce arrived late. He climbed the steps, scanning the crowd for an open seat. There was not one. Except beside you.
He stopped next to the bench and tipped his head toward the empty spot. "Hey… this seat taken?"
You glanced at the empty space. "Not unless you count Casper."
A surprised laugh escaped him. "Thanks."
You shrugged. "You're free to sit wherever you want."
The next squad took the floor, and the arena settled into silence. Bryce leaned over just enough to keep his voice low. "Did I miss our girls, or are they still coming up?"
"They're after the next two squads." You looked over at him. "What? Your newest girlfriend on the team?"
He snorted. "No." He smiled, almost amused by the assumption. "I don't date cheerleaders."
Your eyebrows lifted.
He smirked at you. "My sister's on the squad."
"Oh." You nodded. "Maya, right?"
His smile widened a fraction. "Yeah." He looked at you curiously. "You know the whole squad?"
Despite yourself, you smiled back. "Campus journalist." You gave a small shrug. "Occupational hazard." After a beat, you added, "I'm also friends with most of the girls."
As the next routine began, both of you turned your attention back to the floor.
It was unexpected. You had fully anticipated at least a little flirting. Instead, he had simply talked to you. And, against your better judgment, it had actually been nice.
A few days later, you were carrying a couple boxes of paper back to the newspaper office when you met your greatest foe. A closed door. You tried balancing the boxes on one hip while reaching for the handle. No luck. Then you tried nudging it open with your foot. Still nothing.
"I've got it." The voice came from behind you. You looked over your shoulder just as Bryce jogged the last few steps and pulled the door open.
A surprised smile slipped onto your face. "Thanks."
Instead of stepping aside, he took the boxes from your arms before you could protest. "Let me help."
The relief was immediate as the weight disappeared. "You don't have to."
He looked at you over the top box with a crooked smirk. "Come on. I'm already holding them." He shifted the boxes into a more comfortable grip. "So…where are we headed?"
Unable to argue with that logic, you rolled your eyes and motioned for him to follow. "Thank you. The newspaper office."
Still smiling he made a motion with his head for you begin walking. "Lead on, Scribbles."
You stopped so abruptly he nearly walked into you. Turning around, you looked up at him. "Scribbles?" You laughed. "That's the best you've got?"
He laughed, looking far more entertained than offended. "It was short notice." He nodded toward the hallway. "Give me some time. I'll come up with something better."
Shaking your head, you started walking again. "I can't wait."
Exams were right around the corner, and you were so buried in your textbooks that you completely lost track of time. You only looked up when the librarian stopped beside your table. "We're closing."
Blinking, you glanced around at the nearly empty library before hurriedly gathering your things. To your surprise, you were not the only one being ushered out.
Bryce fell into step beside you, smiling when he noticed you. "Hey, Sunshine." He looked out at the dark parking lot stretching in front of the library. "Let me walk you to your car."
Too exhausted to argue, you simply nodded. "You keep doing me favors, and I'm going to think you're up to something."
He shrugged. "Nah." A smile tugged at the corner of his mouth. "Just helping out when I can."
The two of you walked in comfortable silence for a few moments before you glanced up at the moon hanging overhead.
"You know…"
He looked over.
You glanced a him sideways. "'Sunshine' is a pretty ironic nickname in the middle of the night."
A laugh escaped him as he nudged your shoulder with his. "So that's not the winner either?"
Scrunching your nose, you shook your head. "Nope." You smiled. "Try harder."
By the time you reached your car, Bryce was already reaching for the door. He opened it for you, waiting until you slid into the driver's seat. "I'll keep working on it."
You looked up at him and winked. "See that you do."
He grinned as you pulled the door shut and smiled as you drove away.
The big school bonfire was not something you had planned on attending, but your friends dragged you out of the dorms and insisted. Not that they stuck around once all of you arrived. Soon enough, they had scattered into the crowd, leaving you standing on your own.
Watching the flames dance into the night sky, you found yourself unexpectedly glad you had come. There was something peaceful about watching the fire leap higher with every crackle and pop.
A tap on your shoulder pulled your attention away from the mesmerizing flames. Bryce stood beside you, smiling as he held out a bottle. "Can't have a bonfire without a little liquid courage."
You accepted it, turning the bottle in your hand before giving it a suspicious sniff. "I didn't think you were the kind who needed liquid courage."
He held up both hands in surrender. "I promise there's nothing weird in it." His grin turned crooked. "Just good old-fashioned beer."
You narrowed your eyes before taking a cautious sip. "Fine." You pointed the bottle at him. "But you still didn't answer my question."
He chuckled, taking a drink from his own bottle. "Everybody needs a little courage now and then…" His eyes met yours. "…Sparky."
You gave him a flat look. "Nope."
He sighed dramatically. "Worse?"
Shrugging, you nodded. "Definitely worse."
He pressed a hand to his chest as though wounded. "Ouch."
A laugh escaped you before you could stop it. "I'm sure you'll figure it out eventually."
"I hope so." His smile softened. "I've still got a few more ideas."
You shook your head, laughing as you took another sip of your beer. "I am suddenly very concerned."
You thought all your friends had ignored you at the bonfire. Apparently not.
Now you found yourself in the middle of receiving the lecture.
Melody shook her head. "I know he's hot."
Sasha jumped in before she could continue. "But seriously."
Melody pointed toward the crowd where Bryce had disappeared. "Forget Bryce."
You rolled your eyes. "Nothing happened. We just talked."
Melody gave you a look that was equal parts amused and sympathetic. "That's, like, the tenth time I've seen you two just talking."
Sasha sat down beside you and took your hand. "He's not right for you."
You sighed, staring down into your drink. "I know."
And that was the problem. They were right. You should forget Bryce. Truthfully, you wanted to. Really. Every story like this only had one ending. You were supposed to be smarter than all the girls who had come before you. Why did he keep looking at you like you were the only person in the room?
Once again, the girls dragged you out. According to them, it was to remind you there were plenty of other boys besides Bryce. You were not entirely convinced a frat party was the best place to make a better decision.
Then it happened. You were people-watching, absentmindedly nursing your drink, when you glanced across the room and caught Bryce's eye.
The moment he saw you, he smiled. Without a second thought, he excused himself from the group he was talking to and made his way across the room. "You look bored."
You smiled. "Terribly."
He held out his hand. "Wanna get out of here?"
Already, you could hear your friends' voices in the back of your mind telling you to say no. Instead, you slipped your hand into his. "Yeah. That sounds good."
Without hesitation, he took your drink and set it on the nearest table before leading you out of the party. He led you toward a quiet corner of campus you had never wandered through before.
At the center of a small courtyard stood an old stone fountain, its water shimmering beneath the moonlight. Still holding your hand, Bryce sat on the fountain's edge, and you settled beside him.
For a while, neither of you spoke. You watched the water ripple over the carved stone while the sounds of the party faded into the distance. It was peaceful.
When you finally looked back at Bryce, you found him already watching you. Heat crept up your neck. "What?"
A smile tugged at the corner of his mouth as he reached over and tucked a loose strand of hair behind your ear. "I think I finally figured out your nickname."
Amused, you smiled back. "Oh yeah? What've you got this time?"
His thumb drifted slowly across your knuckles where he still held your hand. "Freyja."
You blinked. "Why that?"
His smile softened. "Because you're beautiful." He held your gaze. "But you're also strong… independent." He gave your hand a gentle squeeze. "She seemed like the closest fit."
Your heart skipped.
His voice dropped to a whisper. "I've been trying really hard not to do this."
You looked down, unable to hide your smile. "Me too."
His eyebrows shot up. "You noticed?"
A quiet laugh escaped you. "I noticed."
His fingertips brushed your cheek. "You've been avoiding me."
Leaning into his touch, you nodded. "You have a reputation."
The smile faded from his face. He looked down into the shimmering water. "You should probably stay away from me."
You swallowed. "I don't think I can."
His head lifted, his eyes searching yours. "Neither can I."
Slowly, he leaned toward you. He stopped only a breath away, giving you every chance to pull back. You did not. The last inch disappeared as his lips met yours. The kiss was gentle. Certain. Somehow both at once.
When you finally pulled apart, a nervous laugh escaped you. "I should leave."
He smiled crookedly. "You probably should."
You rested your forehead against his. "I'm definitely going to regret this."
His smile lingered. "Give me a chance. I might prove you wrong."
You searched his face for a long moment. Then, despite everything you knew…you kissed him again.
I absolutely love your character HCs and would like your opinion on another: CE Characters reacting to random physical affection. For example, they're reading something and you caress their cheek, run your fingers through their hair, start scratching their back, or even a quick kiss on the cheek?
I’ve been sparing this for when I’m in a certain mood and I’m so ready to write out this HC now. 😌♥️
Steve Rogers
Steve is sitting at the edge of your shared bed, getting ready to take a nap as he’s tired after days of hard work at S.H.I.E.L.D. You decide while he’s sitting there that you should get behind him and give him a back rub. He’s surprised as he looks behind, and that’s when you continue to do a back massage.
“Oh that feels really good, doll. Thank you…is there anything you would like me to do?”
He always wants to service you back, but this time you deny him other than have him stay where he is so you can show care to him. He appreciates it a lot and from then it becomes a frequent occurrence.
Ransom Drysdale
Ransom is sitting on the couch, reading through a magazine about the nominated mystery novels, among those being Harlan’s newest book. He’s so into the reading of reviews that he doesn’t notice you getting behind him, and his head goes blank when your fingers run through the root of his hair. It’s unexpected but it feels heavenly to him, - but of course Ransom being Ransom ruins it as he gets defensive.
“What are you doing that for?” He asks, and you respond how you simply want to take care of him. He laughs as if he finds the idea is amusing to him, and dodges his head away from your touch, “I’m fine, I don’t need you to do that.”
Ransom later groans in frustration when you’re not there, realizing how much of a mistake it was to deny you because he knows he won’t have you touching him like that now unless he asks for it. He hates asking for things like that, but he has to learn from his consequences after all.
Andy Barber
Andy is standing by the kitchen island, sipping on his hot coffee while reading the news on the news paper. It’s a morning routine, and that’s why he doesn’t expect anything other than a kiss as a usual morning greeting from you when you come downstairs. However, as he puts the paper aside and meets your lips, you hold his cheeks with the palm of your hands for a deep kiss.
His eyes widens a bit, not expecting something so intimate from you first thing in the morning, and he speaks when you break away, “Woah, honey. Does it happen that I have done something in particular to receive that kind of greeting? Because if I have I’ll have to do it more often.”
You chuckle, shaking your head as you respond something in the lines of you doing it because you love him.
Johnny Storm
Slight NSFW
Johnny is in the living room couch eating his ham sandwich while watching WWE, unaware you’re right behind him. With the both of you being playful comes with shenanigans, and now you are given the opportunity to do something to take him by surprise. You give his hunched shoulder a kiss, and as he leans back to see your face with a dopey smile you grab a handful of his pecs for a squeeze, making him burst out laughing from the ticking sensation.
He puts the plate of food on the table before jumping over the couch, attacking you with physical affection and being grabby with your breasts as you laugh and push him away playfully. “Baby, you started it, it’s only fair I get to do it back.” He says, not letting you get away. You eventually give in to his embrace.
He loves surprises, especially of those being from you where you touch him in the most interesting places.
Jake Jensen
Jake spends time playing video games mid afternoon on his time off, hoping to reach high levels before he inevitably has to go weeks without playing as he goes on missions again. You check on him, chuckling to yourself as you overhear his series of roasts to the team through the headphone microphone as he gets ahead of them. You decide you don’t want to disturb him, and walk over to place a quick kiss on his cheek which makes him stiffen from the sudden affection but he welcomes it.
“Aw thanks, babe…lemme give you one too.” He requests softly, and you get closer giving access to your cheek, receiving a gentle kiss from him.
He decides he hasn’t had enough and leads out to spend time with his girl, not caring that he’s loosing scores as the game carries on.
Bryce Langley
Bryce has been watching tribe documentaries for hours at his place, to the point of having to lay down on the couch with his eyes getting tired. While he naps his eyes, you come by, placing yourself on the empty space beside Bryce’s head on the couch. You sigh, turning off the documentary and Bryce furrows his eyebrows in protest, but before he can say anything, he is given a massage on his scalp, making him relax again.
“Oh fuck, that feels nice, baby. Keep going…” he requests with no shame, the feeling too good to deny.
Ending the evening with a head massage was certainly not in his plans, but Bryce can’t say he minds it at all. Your affections comes above his obsessions.
