Captain Jack Rackham (Toby Schmitz), Black Sails 4.10
Black Sails did so many things right. Jack, in love with Anne, his partner in all things, accepts Anne's feelings for Max not as a threat, not as invalid or silly or fleeting. He accepts them as a part of her, and he loves her still. He doesn't respond with anger or possessiveness. He doesn't love her in spite of her feelings for Max. So many times I've seen shows handle situations like this in ways that reduce the woman/women to objects relative to the man, and reduce the man to a character that is no longer likable. But Jack remains lovable and true. Yes, he gets frustrated and is at times confused. But his love for Anne never wavers, and he never demands anything of Anne in reference to that love that she isn't willing to give.
Black Sails has just so many good, satisfying, beautiful relationships
