Looks like that idea to remake at least one old pic this year is still going strong - because this is another remake. 😁 This time, it's Kai and Kei's youngest kids, Akira and Mizuki - or Aki and Zuki, as their cousin Mia calls them). For those who don't know my next-gen OCs, Mizuki's the one with the cap, and Akira's the one with the stripey sleeves :3
The original on the right was done in 2010, so it's actually older than the Riku remake I posted in January 😅 At this point, I've learned to use references as much as possible, especially with backgrounds, even if it means taking an inordinate amount of time rendering the background. I also tried a different way of rendering the shadows. All in all, this took almost 44 hours of work ^^;
No tracing, copying, claiming as your own in some way (e.g. posting to Amino or Pinterest without credit), or using for genAI training, okay? Okay.
