so it is unofficially official I AM A NURSE ! and I am moving to Colorado in THREE WEEKS to be an oncology nurse 😱 I can’t even begin to describe how excited I am and how proud of myself I am. and to think that 4-5 years ago I was so stuck in my depression, self harming and lost count of how many times I contemplated taking my own life. I am here to say it gets better and you are stronger than you think.
i’m a student nurse now. ✨
I start ED orientation next weekend.
I'm super fuckin excited. And also super fucking terrified.
I function so well in the chaos, i thrive in the unknown of the ED. I worked for years in a trauma ED as a tech. But I have yet to do it as a nurse, besides in clinicals from school and that's what scares me.
Whole new (also old) area to me!
Oh well.
[insert inspirational nurse quote here]
Things I'm learning as a night shift critical access RN...
-you have 0 extra help beyond your immediate team of RNs and techs.
-you are the rapid response, code, and IV team.
-your crew is only as strong as the weakest member.
-my 5 yrs as an ED/trauma tech are the most valuable experience I could ever have.
Hi, my name’s Lynette. I’ll be your nurse today. 👩🏻⚕️❤️
