trying to explain burn this life away is like. rhys winters is a dickhead. it's not his fault. it's all his fault. he's so in love with his best friend that it's slightly unhealthy. he doesn't know what he looks like because he can't stand looking at himself. he is just like his mother. he's nothing like his mother. he's just like juliette. he's so similar to juliette it makes him physically ill. everyone's worried about him and he doesn't care. he cares so fucking much it's killing him. he's going to die if he keeps this up. he wants it this way. he wants so badly to get better. he wades in his misery. he's constantly trying to crawl to happiness. he's so loved (he's SO loved) but he doesn't get it. he doesn't think he's done anything to deserve it. he's blunt and kinda rude and dry and standoffish. he's just like juliette. rhys winters is a dickhead until suddenly his mother is dead and he realises he doesn't want to be a dickhead anymore, and everything is turning on its head, and even juliette is telling him to sort himself out, and he's going to burn this life away until all that's left is the ash he'll use to build a new one. anyway
