Genre: slight angst, fluffy ending; featuring Peniel as your best friend
Word Count: 1428
“Actually, Y/N,” Peniel said flatly as he paused the video game. He looked up at you, sitting on his couch, from his spot on the floor. “It’s kinda disgusting how oblivious you are.”
You couldn’t help but laugh when Peniel was so blunt, which was often. Still, you swatted lightly at his head. “Wow, rude!”
“Look, if you want someone to be delicate, go ask one of your girlfriends why Sungjae is acting weirder than usual.”
Tossing your controller to the floor at Peniel’s side, you laid back on the couch and corrected, “He isn’t being weird. I’m used to weird Sungjae. I like weird Sungjae—”
“Believe me,” Peniel mumbled so quietly, you couldn’t hear him. “I know.”
“ — He’s being a total jerk right now. He cancelled all of our plans this weekend, and he’s ignoring all of my texts. And if you know why, you should really tell me.” When Peniel narrowed his eyes at you, silently wondering how you could be so clueless, you added with a pout, “Pretty please?”
Peniel tried to fight his growing frustration. “Just think about it, Y/N. When did he start acting like that?”
When had Sungjae started avoiding you in person and via text? It felt like an eternity ago just because you were so accustomed to his presence, and because you liked him so much, but it couldn’t have been more than a week since you last spoke to him.
“I guess he started being distant after that party.”
“And what momentous event occurred at that party?” Peniel attempted to guide you, but when you didn’t immediately realize what he was referring to, he said, “Here’s a hint: think about that game of spin the bottle—”
Your jaw fell open. “He’s upset because I kissed Minhyuk?” And once Peniel nodded, you defensively rambled, “But that’s so stupid! It was just a game I didn’t even want to play! Sungjae just dragged me into that circle and made me sit next to him—”
“Wow, I wonder why.” Sighing deeply, Peniel shook his head. “Seriously— Sungjae is. . well, Sungjae, and you’re the most clueless person ever. So please, no matter how much Sungjae begs, never procreate.”
Again, you gawked at Peniel. This time, you sat upright, jumped off the cough, and knelt in front of Peniel to study his expression for any sign of deceit or humor as you asked, “You mean Sungjae wanted to kiss me?”
Peniel backed away from you. “Yes.”
“But why?”
“What do you mean why?” He facepalmed. “He likes you— duh— and he’s too dumb to tell you. But if he spins the bottle and it lands on you, he can kiss you and see how you feel about it before he confesses.”
“But if he wanted to kiss me, he should have just done it—”
“Oh my God, no, please,” Peniel pleaded. He placed a hand over your mouth to keep you from finishing your sentence. “Don’t make me think about you kissing Sungjae. Besides, I think Sungjae’s jealous about more than the kiss.”
This time, you rolled your eyes. Once you pried Peniel’s hand off of your mouth, you said, “Don’t tell me he’s fixated on the fact that I used to have a tiny crush on Minhyuk.”
“Okay, first of all, disclaimer: I don’t understand how Sungjae’s brian works. Second, Y/N, literally two weeks ago you said that Minhyuk is the handsomest man you’ve ever seen—”
“A completely valid statement, which I still stand by completely.”
“ — again, ew,” Peniel rubbed at his temples as if that would help him forget what you said. “Anyway, after you kissed, you were all blushy and sillier than usual.”
“Well,” you formed a joke to distract yourself from your mounting guilt. “That’s because I was kissed by the handsomest man in the world, Peniel, how was I supposed to act?”
But Peniel didn’t acknowledge that you were kidding. Instead, he shrugged, “Well, if you really like Sungjae, maybe you should have noticed him sulking in the corner.” But when he noticed that you were frowning, Peniel consoled, “I mean, I don’t blame you— you didn’t know. Sungjae should have told you he likes you before that stupid game even started. But I guess now he’s all insecure and maybe even hurt—”
“Alright,” you interrupted, running a hand through your hair. “I don’t wanna think about Sungjae hurting. Especially when I didn’t mean to hurt him.”
“You know. . . it’s kind of gross how much you love him,” Peniel teased in a failed attempt to lighten your mood.
As soon as Peniel left the apartment to get dinner, you decided to video call Sungjae because a) you missed him and b) you needed to make amends as soon as possible. Given how stubbornly he avoided you all week, you didn’t expect him to answer so quickly. But surprisingly, one ring in, he asked, “Y/N? What’s wrong? Where are you?”
You tried not to giggle at how close he held the phone to his face. “I’m at Peniel’s place.” Once he knew you were safe with your other best friend, Sungjae relaxed into a slight pout— apparently he only put aside his bitter emotions to take care of you. Awkwardly, you tore your eyes away from the camera as you admitted, “Nothing’s exactly wrong—” which was a slight lie, followed by the truth, “I just really missed you, that’s all.”
“You did?” Sungjae’s eyebrows rose suspiciously. “I thought. . .” He trailed off, cleared his throat, and finished, “I thought you were busy with someone else.”
Normally, you might have been annoyed by jealousy, but when Sungjae’s lips pursed tightly as they often did when he was on the verge of tears, you realized that a genuine pain compelled him to avoid you. He couldn’t look at you because he was hurting— not childishly envious of some playful kiss you shared with Minhyuk.
“Yeah, of course I missed you,” you said softly. And once he looked at you, you confessed, “I really love you, you know, so I had to make sure you’re okay.”
“Oh. . .” His toothy smile was a little infuriating, but you very much preferred when Sungjae was silly. “Well, I guess I’m okay now.” And he winked as he asked, “You love me?”
You laughed at his growing blush, “Yeah, silly.” Then, thinking only of ways to make his blush deepen, you hummed, “I’ve been thinking— I wish I’d kissed you at that party.”
“Ah, Y/N—” Sungjae clutched at his chest dramatically. “You can’t just say things like that! You’ll make my heart explode!” Sungjae always liked to tease, but he stuttered and faltered whenever your roles were reversed. In what must have been an attempt to embarrass you too, he smirked. “But really? You’d rather kiss me than Minhyuk?”
And he succeeded in making you squirm. “Yah! It’s embarrassing enough that I admitted to loving you and wanting to kiss you—” You paused to watch the front door, hoping Peniel wouldn’t return home to hear any of this. “Don’t ask questions you already know the answers to.”
But Sungjae laughed, throwing his head back. “Just one more time! You wanna kiss me and nobody else. . . right?” Had you been at his side, Sungjae definitely would have nudged you mockingly.
“Sungjae!” You wanted to tell him to shut up, that Peniel would be home any minute; but you knew that would only encourage him to tease you all night.
Still, Sungjae pleaded, “Come on, Y/N, just tell me and I’ll come do it.”
It was growing increasingly obvious that the only way to get Sungjae to cut it out was to give in to his childish demands. “Tell you what?”
Sungjae tapped his chin contemplatively— and a nervous shiver ran down your spine. What crazy lines were running through his mind?
“Tell me that you love me, that you want to kiss me only, and that nobody else compares to me.”
“Fine,” you nodded after stealing one last glance at the door. “I love you, Sungjae; I only want to kiss you; and nobody on this earth compares to you.”
Of course, Peniel walked in at that exact moment, carrying pizza boxes in his arms. After gagging, he whispered, “Y/N, what the hell?”
But before you could offer an explanation, Sungjae clapped, cheering, “Cute! You’re at Peniel’s place?”
“Oh no!” Peniel yelled. He dropped the pizzas onto the couch, snatched your phone, and said, “There’s no way I’m letting you suck my best friend’s face off in my own apartment!”

Genre: slight angst, fluffy ending! best friends to lovers
Word Count: 849
You were an understanding person, so when your unofficial boyfriend stood you up, you warily accepted his explanation that he had forgotten about your date.
“Even if that’s true,” your best friend spoke after taking a loud sip of coffee, “and believe me, I really doubt it’s true, you should still break up with him. How could anyone be dumb enough to forget about dating you?”
Deep down, you knew Changsub liked you— no, you knew he loved you, and that love motivated all of his actions. And deep down, past the fear of feeling something so real, you knew that if soulmates exist, Changsub was yours.
Still, you responded, “He gets one more chance. And if he wastes it, I’ll move on.”
“Whatever,” Changsub frowned and dropped his fork onto his plate. When the clatter compelled you to look at him, Changsub begged, “Will you be so understanding of me when it’s my turn to love you?”
How would you have reacted if Changsub hadn’t rushed out of the cafe, carelessly forgetting his coat?
Most of the time, he was so funny, but the way he glanced back at you before opening the door with a thrilling chime of the bells— there was no hint of laughter, only eyes darkened and lips weighed down with sadness.
Did you like anyone enough to justify breaking Changsub’s heart? No; and you especially didn’t feel so strongly about that guy who so easily forgot about your dinner plans.
Just thinking of how you hadn’t been upset enough by his actions to make last minute movie plans with Changsub that night, it was obvious that you had fallen in love with your best friend. But did he have to look so crushed for you to acknowledge your feelings?
When you typed out your breakup with the guy you hadn’t even dated once, you didn’t expect him to reply just seconds later to confess that he didn’t really like you that much from the beginning. But that mild embarrassment and discomfort didn’t compare to how you felt minutes later when, while walking away from the cafe in Changsub’s coat, you saw Changsub scolding your now ex-almost-boyfriend.
Through the window, you watched Changsub tower over him and some girl. Even before you walked into the restaurant to collect him, you could hear him yelling, “You didn’t deserve to have her attention for even a minute!”
“Not when you’ve been waiting for her for years?” The guy challenged. Noticing you approaching, and with Changsub effectively silenced, he said, “Don’t sweat it, man. You’ve got a chance with Y/N— we just called it quits a few minutes ago, right Y/N?”
When Changsub whirled around to follow his gaze, he blushed at the sight of you. “A few minutes isn’t long enough to find a new girlfriend,” he mumbled.
You pretended not to notice Changsub’s blush or his remark, refused to give into the urge to spit in your ex’s face, and focused on saying, “Yeah. It turns out my best friend is right about a lot of stuff.”
“Ooooh, best friend.” Your ex clapped, laughing. “Hear that, Changsub? You’re at least in the friend zone.”
As even Changsub’s ears burned red while more people turned to observe the dispute, the other girl grumbled, “Why are you being such a jerk?” And she apologized to you and Changsub before storming out of the restaurant.
“See what you did?” Your ex glared at you and Changsub before bumping past you to chase after her.
“What a loser.” You rolled your eyes as you rubbed at the shoulder he ran into on his way out. “C’mon Changsub— that’s out queue to get out of here.”
The two of you walked in uncomfortable silence for a few minutes before Changsgub finally dared to ask, “You broke up with him? Even though you said you’d give him another chance?”
“Yeah— it turns out I didn’t like him enough to forgive him,” you shrugged. “Oh— you left your jacket—”
Changsub stopped you from taking it off. “Just wear it, Y/N— it’s kind of cold out here.”
Having fully acknowledged your feelings for him, you blushed at the gesture. “In hindsight, I know I made the right choice.”
“Because he was dating some other girl?”
“Well, kind of.” You stuttered, wrestling with how you should confess your feelings. “You know, I’m a lot more into gentlemen: the kind of guy who is willing to yell at someone in a restaurant to defend me, and let me wear his jacket when it’s only kind of cold, and remind me when I deserve better.”
“You always deserve better.” Changsub studied your expression before brushing his hand against yours. He gasped when you laced your fingers with his, but he managed to say, “You’ll always deserve better.”
You shook your head. “No, there’s nobody better than you.” Then, suddenly embarrassed by your boldness, you quietly added, “To answer your question from the cafe— I’ll always understand you as long as you love me.”
“Guess you’ll be understanding me for a very long time.”
Summary: Hyunsik goes back to the place where he met the first girl he ever loved.
--
“I’m scared.” The six-year-old little girl stepped away every time the waves found its way to the dry sand of the shore.
“Don’t be. Here, let me help you.” Her older brother who was eight years old, lend out his right hand to her, patiently waiting.
“Promise you won’t let me drown?”
“I promise.”
Hyunsik watched as the little boy helped his sister’s first step on the cold water of the sea. There were no other people around besides him and the two children who were playing. His lips curved halfway his face, but never did it went to a full smile. His heart ached at the scene; he was, once again, reminded of a promise he failed to keep.
“Four years.” An old man spoke behind him. Hyunsik turned to look at his grandfather who gave him a tap on the back.
“Four years.” Hyunsik weakly replied. His grandfather sighed.
“It wasn’t your fault, Hyunsik. She told me to tell you that if I ever get to talk to you again.”
“Of course she’d say that, she never really blamed me for anything...”
Hyunsik swallowed back the tears that were fighting its way out, knowing all too well it was his fault, somehow, that everything he ever had… was now gone.
//
“Nice view, isn’t it?” Hyunsik watched as the 25-year-old lady stopped looking through the photos she just took, taking her attention off the camera she was holding.
“You talking to me?” She asked in the most innocent manner she could; she had already turned her camera off. Hyunsik was clearly pertaining to her when he commented “nice view.” He didn’t even realize that the weather felt different that day—it didn’t matter to him, anyway.
Hyunsik bent over and poked the lens of her camera. “No, I was talking to your camera.” He grinned, straightening his body out as he watched the girl roll her eyes at him before smiling. Hyunsik wrapped his arms around her and had his forehead touch hers, the tips of their noses almost meeting.
“Happy 4th Anniversary.” She softly whispered, giving him a warm smile as she brushed her nose against his. Hyunsik gave a sly smile in return, trying hard not to blurt out the surprise he has for her.
“You do know this is already my gift to you, right?” Hyunsik asked, as if he’s expecting her to believe that this was really just the gift he prepared for her—him bringing her back to the place where they both first met each other, where they first watched the sun set together, in its brightest and most beautiful golden carnation hue.
Hyunsik’s grandfather was a businessman who owned a rest house near the beach; he also owned wooden dory boats, those of which he let the tourists rent. It was that one summer vacation when Hyunsik visited his grandfather that he met her; nothing really even changed between them. He saw her taking some photos of the beach that day, and he asked her the exact same question, “Nice view, isn’t it?” That’s when it all started.
“You’re here with me. That’s more than enough.” She replied, her hands cupped his face as she gently touched her lips onto his. Hyunsik pouted, frowning at her reply.
“Can’t you act like some of those girls who’d usually whack their boyfriends and then ask for material gifts or something?” He jestingly asked, making her laugh.
“Well, can’t you?” Hyunsik insisted. He really wanted her to ask for something more so that he could carry on with his initial plan.
“You’re acting silly again.” She shook her head as she tittered, but Hyunsik still had his lips puckered into a pout. “Fine.” She said, losing her grin and acting annoyed. “That’s it? That’s your gift? Taking me back here?” She had both of her hands on her waist and her eyebrows furrowed at him.
“Oh, no.” Hyunsik tried to control his laughter, he always knew she’d never look as annoyed as she really wanted to look, she’d always just appear adorable in his eyes whenever she gets mad at him. “I take it back. Stop that. You’re too cute, you’re giving me the bees.” Hyunsik said, clasping his right hand to his chest and acting like he’s grabbing his heart out of it.
“It’s butterflies.” She corrected him, giggling.
“Butterflies are overrated.” Hyunsik scrunched his nose and laughed. “But uhm… I really do have another gift for you.”
“Oh really?” She asked, acting cute all of a sudden. “And what’s that?”
Hyunsik lightly poked her nose and took a deep breath, he reached out to grab something from his pocket, but then he stopped when he caught a glimpse of a boat that his grandfather owned, resting right on the shore. His eyebrows lift together as he thought of another idea on how to make his last gift be all the more romantic and special.
“Come with me.” Hyunsik grabbed her hands gently and he proceeded to walk towards the red-wooden beach dory boat.
“Don’t tell me we’re going to ride that. The sun is already setting, it’s gonna be too dark soon.” She said, being the prudent lady she had always been.
“You always told me you wanted to experience that scene in Tangled where Rapunzel and the guy rode a boat in the middle of the night.”
“There were lanterns there, Hyunsik.” She answered in an as-a-matter-of-fact tone.
“Well, we’ll have the moon and the stars.” Hyunsik replied, widely smiling, but when he saw that she was hesitating, Hyunsik lend out his hand to her and added, “It will only be for a few minutes, I promise.”
In the end, Hyunsik was able to persuade her. He started rowing the boat away from the shore as soon as they both have settled in.
“You know, my grandfather used to tell me not to ride his boats when I was still a little kid. He told me that a ghost would flip the boat and pull my leg to drown me after.”
“But did it ever stop you from trying to ride any of the boats he owned?” She asked, giving him a small laugh.
“Kinda.” Hyunsik sheepishly smiled when she shook her head at him, trying to hide his embarrassment at the same time. “Well, when you’re a kid, you believe in all kinds of stuff. He even told me he can see and talk to the spirits of those people who already passed away— just those who were really close to him though. He told me that ghosts don’t pass on the other side yet because they want to make sure first that the people they left here on earth are happy.”
“You believed him?” Hyunsik lost a bit of his smile at her question.
“Yeah… I… I did. He told me my mom wanted me to know that she’ll always be there for me no matter what, that she won’t leave me until she knows I’m already okay and happy on my own.” Hyunsik grunted, trying to row the boat even faster. “Well, that was before though, when I was still just a child who misses his mom terribly. I guess that’s just how old people really try to comfort children. They make them believe something that’s not true.”
Hyunsik broke his eye contact when she didn’t reply. He’s happy now, but he still misses his mom, of course.
“Hey,” she leaned a bit forward to hold his hand, which made Hyunsik stop rowing the boat. “I’m sure your mom really is still looking out for you. She may be at some serene place now knowing that you’re already happy, but she’ll always be with you.” She gave him a reassuring smile and Hyunsik lightheartedly gave her one too as a response.
“Besides, I do believe in ghosts.” She said, trying to lighten the mood.
“That’s because you love horror movies.” Hyunsik teased. He started rowing the boat again.
“No, I don’t.” She replied in a defensive tone, which made Hyunsik chuckle.
“You knew we were going to the beach today, so you watched a movie yesterday where all the protagonists died on the sea.”
“Pfft, so what? It makes an experience all the more thrilling.” Hyunsik shook his head at her response.
“You’re weird.”
“You love me for it though.” She said, giving Hyunsik a smug look. Hyunsik scoffed at her reply.
“For the record, it doesn’t add thrill to the experience, it just makes you scared even more.”
“I’m not scared.”
“Says the one who didn’t want to ride the boat earlier.” Hyunsik contended, grinning at her.
“I love you.”
Hyunsik pressed his lips together, trying not to smile.
“Fine, you weren’t scared.”
“Aha! I win!” She cried, cheerfully clapping her hands.
“Because you cheated! You don’t get to tell me you love me and expect me to still argue my case.” Hyunsik replied, though he didn’t mean any of it. Knowing she loves him makes him the winner at life; he didn’t need to win anything else. For him, that was enough.
She just rolled his eyes at his response, but the smile on her lips never left.
By the time they reached near the offshore of the beach, flamboyant lights among the little huts on the backshore started to glimmer from the distance.
Hyunsik looked at her with the most endearing smile, thankful that she was enjoying the view. He took that as a cue to take the small box which had been dying to get out from his pocket since a while ago.
Not letting any more second pass, Hyunsik carefully tried to kneel in front of her, rocking the boat sideways. He saw how she was understandably surprised, but she looked happy. And that was all that Hyunsik needed to see.
“You idiot…” She said, beaming so brightly that her smile had topped all the radiant lights that were around them; even the moon and the stars were no match to her in Hyunsik’s eyes.
“Will you be so kind to agree with me if I asked you to be my wife, so we could spend the rest of our lives together?” Hyunsik was smiling, but his heart was pounding so hard. He knew she loved him and he knew in his heart that she’d say yes, but a part of him—a big part of him—felt uneasy; he felt nervous—scared even, and he didn’t even know why. It was as if something bad was about to happen, and he was too stupid to not have seen it coming—to not have cared at all.
“You didn’t even need to ask.”
She smiled.
And then he heard it.
The loud piercing sound of a stroke of lightning.
“Hyunsik!” He heard her scream his name. The edge of their boat—the part where she was seated so nearly—had just gotten struck by the lightning. Hyunsik couldn’t see well enough because of the dark, but he saw smoke, and he felt like the boat was plummeting on the side where she was. If the hull of the boat had been damaged, there was a huge possibility that they were going to sink—Hyunsik’s mind was in a panic.
“Shit!” Hyunsik cursed as the boat swayed vehemently sideways.
“Hyunsik, I’m scared.” Her voice was trembling; Hyunsik was terrified too—not for his life, but for hers, but he didn’t show it. He couldn’t.
“Hey, hey, look at me. You don’t have to be scared, okay? I’m here.” Hyunsik held his right hand out to her and she took it without hesitation.
“Promise you won’t let me drown?” She smiled genuinely at him, but he saw the hint of fear on her smile. Hyunsik’s heart ached when he saw her eyes reflect how frightened she was.
That’s when it hit him.
She didn’t know how to swim.
That was why she was so hesitant to ride the boat with him. She was scared. And still, she went with him. How could he have even forgotten about it? He was so focused on wanting to make everything perfect, and look where it got them.
It was all his fault.
“I promise.” Hyunsik held her hand tight, while both their free hands gripped onto the edge of the boat. Hyunsik was about to pull her onto his side to slow down the sinking of the boat on the other side, but then came the breaking groundswell—a sudden surge of wave hit their boat, tilting it over and knocking both of them off the boat.
“No!” Hyunsik cried. Both of them had just been pushed down the water because of the weight of the boat; they were no longer holding each other’s hands. Hyunsik was the first one to pull himself up the surface of the water, and as soon as he did, he screamed her name, looking for her in the dark.
“No, no, no.” Hyunsik plunged himself once again into the deep water, extending his hands in the dark, trying to see if he could reach out onto something—someone—her. It was the first time that Hyunsik had trouble breathing while swimming, he was spinning around under, trying to get ahold of her— trying to look for her. He went to the surface again to catch his breath, also to see if somehow, by miracle, she was floating or holding onto the boat to float, but she wasn’t there, she wasn’t anywhere.
Hyunsik was about to dive deep into the sea again, but he began to feel an excruciating knot on his right leg, making him suddenly unable to move it. Not moving the leg alone was painful enough for him to even try to swim upwards, but he knew he needed to.
No. No, let me find her first.
“H-Help!” He knew no one could hear him, he was too far from those who could have helped him, but he had to do something. His body was already falling deep into the sea, he could no longer fight the pain, he was already too weak, out of breath, and broken. He was going to die, and he honestly didn’t care at that moment, he just wanted to see her alive, at least.
“Help… Help her… please…” He wasn’t going to let himself close his eyes, not when he still hasn’t seen her all right, not when he couldn’t keep his promise not to let her drown, not when he couldn’t save her. His eyes, however, were starting to lose its strength, he was at the point where he thought it would be better if he just let himself die, but then someone suddenly held his hand.
Mom? Hyunsik thought when he saw a figure of his mom trying to help him pull himself up on the surface of the water.
“Help!” Hyunsik heard her voice, making him turn his attention to where the voice was coming from. He was supposed to try and swim faster, but then he felt the agonizing pain on his leg once more. He wanted to reach out on it, he wanted to do something to lessen the throbbing pain.
“Help! Please!” He heard her again. And now all the pain he felt had shifted to his heart. She was going to die because of him. She was going to die.
Hyunsik did the only thing he could think of at that moment; he forcefully pulled his hand away from the grasp of whoever it was trying to pull him out of the water.
“Save her instead.” Hyunsik faintly mumbled as his eyes shut close, willingly letting himself fall into the deepest gloom of the sea.
//
“Kids, come on now. It looks like a storm’s coming.” Hyunsik opened his eyes when he heard a familiar voice. He watched a woman wrap towels on both the young girl and the young boy.
“She’s been coming back here every year… fourth time now.”
“She adopted them?”
“Yes. Both kids lost their parents to the sea.” Hyunsik nodded.
“Is she married now?” Hyunsik asked and he heard his grandfather sigh.
“She is.”
Hyunsik cracked a broken smile.
It should have been me.
“She still misses you… But she’s happy now, Hyunsik.”
Hyunsik didn’t reply, but the sound of a sharp, loud crack and a low rumble made him look at the sky and on the sea. There, he saw, an empty, red wooden-dory boat in the middle of the sea, calmly sailing towards him, amidst the coming storm.
there was too much fluff in that last reaction (the block b one) so i needed some angst to even me out

Eunkwang:
Oh my god, if he even saw tears form in your eyes, he would panic. You were his precious baby and you crying because of him would break him. He would pull you into his arms, no matter how much you protested, and hug you close, immediately repeating apologies into your hair. He would want to just forget the fight, but he would feel like shit for a long time.
ignore changsub,, or don’t i dont control you
Minhuk:
He would regret things, not what happened but how he approached the situation. He would regret making you cry so he would comfort you, but he wouldn’t forget the fight and would want to talk about it later, but more calmly. If the fight was over something small that just escalated, however, this man would go out of his damn way to make you happy again.
Changsub:
Subbie is a pretty emotional guy, so if he sees you cry from something he said, he would cry too. Guilt would weigh down his body so as you ran away, he would be stuck in his spot, just watching you go with tears dripping off his chin. He would stay away from you for a bit, to give you both time to calm down before he approached you hesitantly, an apology on his lips.
Hyunsik:
He would calm down immediately when he saw tears fall from your eyes, and would frown at how he caused them. He wouldn't touch you but he would apologize as soon as he could, walking towards you if you allowed it. He would want you to be as comfortable as possible. He would feel awful but his main concern was calming you down.
Peniel:
Awkward baby is awkward. He wouldn’t quite know how to help the situation. He is a pretty calm guy so fights wouldn’t be loud but there would be mean comments thrown, and it would take him a bit to go over the argument to remember what he said. Once he did, he would apologize for it and deny it, kissing your hand and telling you he loves you.
Ilhoon:
He’s a funny guy so he wouldn’t take the fight seriously, but instead, he would joke around with it. He would say some things as a joke that would hurt you and when tears fell, Ilhoon would regret everything he had done during the argument. He would stutter, panic making his brain not work. Apologies would flow out of his mouth, the fear of losing you over something dumb he said making his head swim.
Sungjae:
Baby would have literally no idea what to do. Since he’s an actor, he would pull some shit straight from a drama, pulling you into his arms as he kept silent. Feeling you struggle made him realize how much he fucked up, so he would begin to apologize for his idiocracy, and kiss your head, keeping you close to him but giving you the room to leave if you wanted.

My phone rings for a couple minutes as I watch the bomb tick more. “Hello? Y/N?” He asks, surprise in his voice. His voice sounds sleepy. I put my phone on speaker and slowly drive forward, the bomb at one minute left. My eyes well with tears in fear and my voice shakes. “S-Sungjae? Something has happened…” “Is everything okay? Did you get hurt? Y/n tell me what’s wrong!” His voice raises slightly as I don’t answer, contemplating how to get out of this alive, but no answers come to mind as I am only filled with adrenalin. “There- There’s a bomb in my car.” I say, my voice cracks, tears starting to fall down my cheeks. My hands tighten, watching the time tick to thirty seconds, adrenalin getting stronger as I make my decision on what to do. I watch as traffic goes, and i’m quick to change lanes, going closer to the side of the bridge. “A bomb? Jesus Y/N! Get out of your car right now! How much time is left?” He yelled. “T-Thirty seconds.” I sob, looking for a weak point in the bridge side. “And I can’t hurt people around me- I have no choice but to-” “Don’t you fucking say it! I don’t give a damn about those people! I care about you and you only! You’re all I have left!” I hear him yell, I can hear his voice break, making me sob harder. “I-i’m so sorry baby….” I say, hitting my gas on my car as the bomb hits ten seconds. My engine screams as I hit the side of the bridge, knocking over the siding. Nine. I hear SungJae yelling in the phone. Eight. I hear the pieces of the bridge hit the water. Seven. I feel my heart pounding harder than before. Six. I think about how these are the last five seconds of my life. Five. “I lo-love you Sungjae..” I say, unbuckling my seatbelt, and grabbing my phone out of my hand. Four. I unlock my door, taking a deep breath. Three. I open my door, the force of the wind trying to close it. Two. I let myself fall out of my car, gravity pulling me down with the car. One. I hit the water as my back burns from heat. The burns cooling as I no longer can breath or see. Zero. This is how I die.
