“Jimin, let’s go to the department store” you told your boyfriend while the two of you are playing ‘It takes Two’ on your PS5, “Hmm, do you need anything?” he asked. “Not really I just wanted to look at the new collections released.” as soon as you told him that, he stood up and turned off the console. “I doubt you’ll just look” he laughed at you knowing you’ll go home with a bunch of clothes and other goods again.
You swiped a tint on your lips and went to your closet, choosing a casual dress that is just right for your errands today. Jimin showed up behind you and said that the two of you should wear matching clothes. You agreed to your boyfriend’s cute suggestion, you then changed to wear a Gucci shirt and tucked it in a denim skirt, you chose sneakers for a more comfortable attire.
Jimin appeared again wearing a Gucci sweater, loose trousers and of course his favorite mules. You weren’t matching exactly but others can tell that you two are a couple. Holding the keys of the car that you'll use today, Jimin jokingly told you to hurry up. You stood up, grabbed your clutch and walked with him outside of the apartment.
You arrived at the shopping district and your eyes glistening with all of those shining lights from the boutiques. You and Jimin first went to a Balenciaga boutique, Jimin bought a pair of shoes that he liked while you bought nothing because you didn’t like anything. More stores you passed, you bought some items but not as much as Jimin bought. “Are you sure the bank won’t call you for swiping your card too much today, hmm?” you asked him jokingly because you know that your cards don't even have limits. The two of you use your own cards for personal items, as you should, but sometimes if you want a certain item for the other you pay for it, of course.
“How about we play a game, Y/N?” he suggested. “What kind of game, Mr. Park?” you replied, curious why he would suggest a game while you’re in the mall. "We get what we want, and then we play rock, paper, scissors and the loser will pay. What do you think? Hmmm?” he said, thrilled with his recommendation you laughingly agreed.
“Do you have the new collection of the Chanel Flap?” you asked the SA of the Chanel boutique, nodding at your question she told you that she’ll get it for you. While waiting, you saw Jimin trying on a pair of glasses while the one assisting him was holding quite a variety of items from the designer house. You scoffed as you remember him saying that you’ll be the one who will go home with loads of shopping bags.
As the two of you stood in front of the payment counter, with the bill amounting a good $9,000, with all of the items Jimin bought and a single bag for yourself, you played rock, paper, scissors as if it’s just for a piece of candy. A hand displayed a paper while the other showed a rock.
You’re the player who showed a rock, jokingly rolling an eye to your boyfriend. He laughed at you as the staff also giggled with the sight of your childlike gesture. You put out your card and swiped it at the machine. You don’t mind paying though, you’re the one who suggested this shopping trip in the first place.
Jimin still teasing you as he held on his shopping bags, lead you to the Van Cleef & Arpels boutique and bought a pairing necklace for the both of you, a diamond hanging at the end of the lace alongside a plate pendant with Jimin’s name engraved on it and yours engraved on his. You thanked him sincerely for the gift he gave you as it holds a great sentiment for the both of you.

“Thank you for today, baby.” you once again thanked him as the two of you arrived home. “All for my princess.” he replied as he kissed your forehead.
Disregarding the things you bought earlier, the two of you spent the night by eating convenience store foods, watching a romantic-comedy series, cuddling each other. You realized that material things are just for physical and mental satisfaction, it’s the unfeigned and authentic experiences you have with all of the love and companionship you share with your other-half, Jimin.
