“Please, come back to bed with me”

You woke with the sound of rain falling outside you’re window and the soft breath of your longtime boyfriend Tae fanning over your bare shoulder. His arms holding you to his chest and his legs tangled with yours.
Tae had the day off today and so did you. It was very rare for that to happen. You rolled over to look at his sleeping face. His face was puffy. His hair was messy. His whole body looked relaxed and peaceful. He’s been working so hard on the comeback lately this is the first time he has slept for more than 6 hours. So you decided to let him sleep as much as he could.
You gave him a quick peck on the cheek and carefully slid out of bed chucking on your dressing gown to protect your naked body from the cold raining morning.
First thing is first, Tea.
You brewed your favourite pot of tea and sat on the windowsill to drink it while watching the way the raindrops chased each other down window pane. The sky was grey, the sun being hidden by big black clouds. And if your experience on a farm as a child was any good you’d say it would be raining till at least tomorrow morning and maybe a little thunderstorm.
As I child you loved the rain. The feel of it on your hot skin after a long day at school made your whole body relax. You’d often get off the bus a couple stops before your stop and walk the rest of the way if it means you could get to feel the rain on your skin and in your hair.
After a while your mother had to buy you an umbrella cause you got sick so quickly due to the cold you’d been getting from walking in the rain during winter. But she still didn’t mind you being out in it. She couldn’t stop you from being in the rain. So, her next best option was to buy you a see through umbrella. Whenever you look out the window when it rains you always remember that umbrella. It still sits in your family home. And you use it whenever you go back home. It is always there. On the back of your door. Your old school blazer next to it.
After your cup of tea you went to have a shower. You tied your hair up into a bun and climbed under the hot water. Soothing your skin and warming you up a lot. Suddenly you felt arms around your waist and a face on your shoulder.
“Oh my god!” You squealed. Tae chuckled slightly.
“Taehyung! You scared the shit out of me!” I said clutching my heart
“Why did you get up?” He asked in his deeper morning voice
“Sorry baby, I was planning to come back to bed once I’d had a shower,” I said pecking his nose. “So now that you’re awake. Wanna help me do some cooking?”
“Please, come back to bed with me?” He muttered. Pressing kisses to my shoulder.
I sighed and turned around in his arms. We cuddled close to each other. And I nodded into his chest.
Tae smiled and shut off the water before grabbing a large towel from the cupboard and wrapping us both in it. So I was still in his arms.
We walked back into the bedroom where it was nice and warm from the heater being on. He unwrapped himself from the towel leaving it on me and went to his wardrobe to get a large t shirt out and a pair of his boxers.
He pulled on the boxers and placed the T shirt down next to me on the bed before helping me dry myself. He rubbed the towel over my body drying my skin and then ruffled my hair in the towel. This caused me to giggle as I couldn’t see for the wet hair in my face. He chuckled too moving my hair back off my face he smiled and cupped my cheeks looking deep into my eyes with so much love I thought I might explode. He helped me put the shirt on and then lifted up the covers. I pecked him on the lips and then climbed into bed. He pulled his sweat pants on and climbed in after me pulling me so my head was laying on his chest.
“Tae?”
“Yes kitten?”
“I love you,” I smiled up at him. He grinned his love heart grin and said “I love you too,”
Without thinking I started to draw shapes on his chest. Then, I was very surprised when I heard the words out of my mouth.
“I can’t wait to marry you. And start a family with you,”
Tae seemed shocked as well. But he quickly broke into a massive grin.
“You, you took the words right out of my mouth my future wife,” he smiled kissing me softly before we both fell into a peaceful sleep.
