Going outta pocket for this and saying spring and Taehyung, I know he gives off peak fall or winter vibes but been thinking about this Tae for a minute now
Also I wouldn’t be upset if you wanted to do Seokjin and winter as well 👀😂
The world was bathed in pinks and greens. You walked slowly along the path, Taehyung a few steps behind you.
It had been his idea, to come out for a walk. "I know the perfect place," he'd said. And of course, he'd been right. This park was out of the way enough that it was just the two of you out enjoying the newly blossomed world.
The path was one giant loop. This was your third time around, and you were still under the influence of spring. It was almost a lightheaded feeling - it made you giddy.
"You know, there's a 30% chance of snow tomorrow."
You stopped in your tracks, whipping around to face Taehyung. He was squinting down at his phone with a frown.
"Nooo," you cried out. "How could you say that to me?"
Taehyung laughed, jogging to catch up. "I know. I'm sorry. Should we just forget?"
"Let's live in this moment forever."
You stood up on your tippy-toes to smell the blossoms hanging down from a tree. Taehyung's hands wrapped around your middle, snuggling into you.
"Alright."
Your eyes closed as you inhaled the sweet scent. "Hmm?"
Taehyung's voice was a low rumble against your shoulder where he buried his head. "Alright, then. Let's live in this moment forever."
A grin tickled your cheeks. "Yeah? How're we gonna manage that?"
You felt his shrug. "Somehow. Let's bookmark this page."
"How?"
Taehyung straightened, coming around to face you. He had a dopey smile on his face, one that you were sure you were mimicking. Spring always had this effect on you. It made you dizzy with excitement. With hope.
"A kiss."
You blinked, Taehyung already laughing. "What? Why a kiss?"
"That'll ensure I live in this moment forever," he explained softly, taking your hand in his. "I'll always replay it in my mind. Would you?" His head tilted to the side, like a dog's.
Slowly, you nodded. "I...yeah. I would." How couldn't you?
Taehyung suddenly looked sheepish. His eyes dropped from yours as he looked at the blossoms. "Unless - that was too forward. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have -"
But you've already taken his face in your hands, smiling up at him. "Hurry," you whispered. "Before it snows tomorrow."
And he grinned, leaning forward. His lips were a whisper against your own, soft as a petal. Perfectly innocent.
Hopeful.
You stay there for a long time. Standing there, admiring the blossoms, admiring each other. Eventually, you began to walk once more.
"I hope it doesn't snow tomorrow," you whispered more to yourself than to Taehyung.
His answering grin was perfect. "If it does, we'll still come back and do it all again."
It was then that you realized - rain or shine - you'd always have this.

Summary: Over a year into your marriage with Taehyung, you finally get the chance to break the good news to him.
A/n: Requested by sweet @taehyungfics || I had begun writing this so many months ago, and I so clearly remember getting ready to post this one night and that was when I found out my grandma was diagnosed with cancer, so I had little to no time to finish up this story. So here it is! Thank you for waiting so patiently for this one!!
This is written as a sequel to One + One = Three and can also be read as a sequel to this little piece.
“Hi bubba,” Yoongi smiled softly at you, welcoming you into his arms with a gentle pat to your head. “How are you?”
“I’m great,” you grinned back at him, patting his arms. “You’ve been working out.”
“You noticing that is making my ego inflate, careful now,” Yoongi joked, ushering you into the house and closing the door.
“As it should. Where’s everyone?”
“All the way in the bedroom. They’ve all piled onto my bed, the A/c’s stopped working in all the other rooms and the weather is too hot.”
“It sure is,” you whispered, more to yourself because Yoongi had disappeared briefly into the kitchen. You slipped your shoes off, placing your bag and keys by the table beside the door. Yoongi had returned by then, offering you a bottle of iced water.
“My lifesaver,” you groaned in pleasure, accepting the bottle from him with a playful salute.
“Might wanna be careful with your words there,” he chuckled. “I have no doubt Taehyung would trample me to death if he hears you call me that.”
“He wouldn’t,” you laughed lightly, shaking your head at Yoongi.
“Whatever you say,” he sang with a smirk, gesturing towards his bedroom. “Let get out of this furnace already.”
~
The moment you entered, Taehyung’s face lit up, jumping off of the bed without a second thought, no doubt sacrificing his precious spot on the mattress which Jungkook soon claimed. The bed was too small to fit seven people and Jungkook had no shame in admitting that his ass had probably flattened a few inches by sitting on the floor for so long.
Taehyung took you under his arm, grinning down at you and holding your hand up to place a gentle kiss over your knuckles.
“Hi, wifey.”
“Hey, hubby,” you giggled, giving his hand a squeeze.
He gazed down at the ring on your left finger, a simple gold band that matched with the one he had on his own finger. It amazed him that of all the possible designs in the world, you had fallen in love with the simplest one, a magnificent shine to the metal that had now made its home over your finger. Taehyung let his thumb trace the ring, a fond smile tugging at the corners of his lips until he was smiling widely, his eyes squinting at the action.
“It’s been a year, yet I can’t believe we’re married.”
“It’s a new journey,” you chuckled lightly. “We’ve known each other for so long that our marriage seems like a door that we simply walked through.”
“Are you guys going to keep standing there?”
Your head snapped over to the corner of the room where Hoseok was seated – on the floor – propped up against the window with his phone in his hand.
“Hi, Hobi,” you chuckled, waving at him.
“Hey, darling.”
“We’re here, too,” Jimin pouted, pointing at the four men who had somehow placed themselves over the bed, fitting into each other like puzzle blocks.
“Hi guys,” you laughed, waving at each one of them.
“Hiiii,” they all greeted you in sync, which brought a big smile to your face.
“You’re glowing, (Y/n),” Namjoon observed, pointing towards your skin. Taehyung took another look at your face after Namjoon spoke, gently turning you to face him.
“You are,” he confirmed with a soft smile. “New skin care products?”
“It’s love,” you giggled, pinching him in the ribs. From somewhere, you heard someone gag at the way you were flirting with Taehyung, but you didn’t mind.
“We’ll have to get a chair or something,” Yoongi muttered distractedly, pointing around the room. “There’s no place for (Y/n) to sit.”
“So much for gender equality,” Hoseok snorted, glaring at Yoongi. “You’re willing to bring a chair for (Y/n) but you don’t mind me sitting on the floor?”
“Shut up.”
“(Y/n), you can take my place,” Namjoon was about to get up, but you quickly shook your head.
“No, don’t worry about it, I’ll help Yoongi get a few chairs, there’s four people without a seat.”
“I’m so happy you noticed,” Hoseok sighed into his hands, rolling onto the floor to lie down. “My ass hurts so much.”
“I’ll help you,” Taehyung mumbled, looking into your eyes with concern. “The chairs would be heavy.”
“They aren’t,” Yoongi intervened. “They’re foldable. Very light.”
Your eyebrows raised in Taehyung’s direction.
“They’re light.”
“I can still help,” he offered kindly.
“You could help us by making us a few drinks,” Yoongi suggested. “It’s too hot and you’re good at making drinks.”
“He’s right,” you agreed with Yoongi, shrugging your shoulders in Taehyung’s direction. Taehyung’s eyebrows furrowed together in thought, taking a good twenty seconds before he nodded with two determined claps.
“Okay! Lemonade for everyone today!”
“Do we have whiskey?” Jimin asked.
“No drinks today.”
“We didn’t ask you,” Jungkook smacked Jin’s thigh, which pulled a loud yelp from the eldest.
“Hey!”
“No drinks today,” Yoongi confirmed, nodding in Taehyung’s direction. “It’s too hot to be drinking. Lemonade should be perfect.”
“Okay!”
“I want some ice-cream,” Jungkook whined into the mattress. “Everything is burning.”
“I want some too,” Hoseok piped up.
“Should I go get some?” Namjoon asked. Two heads popped up in an instant, expectant eyes staring back at Namjoon.
“Would you?”
“In this heat?” Yoongi raised an eyebrow.
“Uh,” Namjoon reconsidered. “I take my words back.”
The two boys whined in dismay, big pouts covering their faces.
“You’re no fun!”
You laughed at the way they all interacted, patting Taehyung’s arm and pushing him towards the door.
“Let’s get going.”
~
“What’re you doing?”
You turned to look at Yoongi who was standing by the window, holding a hand above his eyes and squinting at you through the blazing sun.
“Come back in! You’ll get sunburnt!”
“Yoongi, there’s an injured bird here! I can’t leave it out in the heat!”
Yoongi sighed, shaking his head at your concern. He was almost about to tell you to let it be, but one look at the frown on your face made him give up, slipping his feet into his sandals and rushing down the stairs to come help you.
“The leg is broken,” you whispered dreadfully when Yoongi kneeled beside you. He was a little hesitant to touch the pigeon but you had already gripped it in your hands, gently stroking its head in an attempt to comfort it.
“Poor thing,” he muttered under his breath, feeling the sun drain his energy quickly like it was sucking it up through a straw that was attached to his skull.
“Let’s take it back in.”
“Yeah, we should – ah.”
Yoongi’s eyes widened in panic when you doubled over in discomfort. “What’s wrong?”
You winced, placing the pigeon on the floor briefly to press both of your hands into your stomach.
“It’s… uh,” you trailed off, not knowing how to explain it to Yoongi.
“You’re in pain? Where is it? How bad is it?”
“It’s normal,” you mumbled, avoiding his eye.
“Are you on your period?” He looked worried.
“No,” you shook your head.
“Then?” Yoongi frowned deeply, placing a soft hand over your shoulder. “How is this normal?”
“It’s… normal. The doctor said that it happens sometimes.”
“You’ve been to the doctor? Is it serious?”
Yoongi raised a hand to wipe at the sweat that was dripping down the side of your face, holding a hand out to shield you from the scorching heat.
“Yoongi,” you bit your lip, looking away. “It’s… uhm.”
“I’m not trying to be offensive,” he held a hand up in the air to make sure you knew he was being serious. “But you’ve put on a little weight. I noticed when I hugged you. Is something wrong? I’ve never seen you this way in the eight years that I’ve known you.”
“Oh,” you laughed lightly, nodding at Yoongi. “Yeah, I have gained some weight. Taehyung noticed it too, but he would never say.”
Yoongi simply gave you a look, awaiting an explanation. You looked back down at the bird, settling onto the burning ground and taking it back into your hands.
“(Y/n), if you aren’t feeling well, we should go back in. It’s too hot, you might feel drained.”
“There’s something that I needed to tell you,” you mumbled, stroking the head of the pigeon delicately. “Usually, I have Taehyung to talk to. But this is something that I needed to discuss with someone else first.”
“Are you terminally sick?” Yoongi asked in a dreadful whisper.
“No!” you yelped, eyes wide in horror. “No. I’m not. Thank God for that.”
“Yeah,” he sighed softly, settling onto the ground as well. He placed his feet flat on the floor so that his bare thighs and calves wouldn’t touch the burning concrete.
“You can tell me anything bubba,” Yoongi smiled a little, giving you a nod of reassurance. “You’ve been our friend for the longest time. There’s no doubt we’ve taken you as our little sister.”
“Oh,” you laughed lightly at his words. “That’s…great to know.”
“Exactly. Now what is it that you cannot tell Taehyung before us? Is he drinking a lot?”
“He doesn’t drink much,” you shook your head. “It’s not about him, actually.”
“Oh?” His eyebrows raised. “Are you drinking too much?”
“No, Yoongi,” you chuckled, reaching forward to slap his arm gently. “Let me just tell you before you start guessing everything that’s not happening.”
“Okay.”
“Remember a year ago when we were at the restaurant for our weekly dinners? Taehyung suddenly told me that he wanted to have a baby with me?”
“Are you pregnant?” Yoongi asked you straight away.
“Let me build the suspense for heaven’s sake!” you exclaimed with a loud laugh. “Why are you so quick at everything?”
“So you are pregnant.”
“Maybe I am.”
“Oh my gosh,” he gushed, shooting up right away and pulling you into a hug. “Oh my gosh!”
“You sound like a girl,” you teased him lightly, keeping the pigeon out of the way so that it wouldn’t get crushed between the two of you.
“Congratulations! I’m so happy for you, bubba!”
“Thank you,” you chuckled fondly. “I am too.”
He gave your shoulder a firm squeeze. “How long has it been since you found out?”
“I found out last month, but I’ve been pregnant for almost three months now.”
Yoongi gasped lowly. “You must’ve found it so difficult to keep this to yourself. How do you feel?”
“I feel… great,” you giggled into your palm. “There’s something else you need to know.”
“What is it?”
“I’ll tell you later, though. I feel like Taehyung deserves to know this first. But I need your help to break the news to him.”
“I’ve been born ready.”
~
“Yeah, we’ll go.”
“I’m coming too!”
“Me too! I’ve been craving for some ice-cream.”
“I’m going in for a shower. Too hot.”
“Wait-”
“Should we take hyung’s car?”
“I’m driving.”
“But where-”
“We’ll be back in an hour, tops.”
“Two. I’m going to get some dinner on the way back.”
“I’ll join.”
“But why are-”
“We should get going! Bye Taehyung. Bye (Y/n)!”
“We’ll see you in a bit.”
“Wait!”
“Where are the keys?”
“In your hand, you blind bat.”
With a loud commotion, five of the members scrambled their way past the front door, the clicking sound of it closing preceding a tense silence. Yoongi had already slipped into his bedroom quietly with an excuse to have a shower, hiding away his smirk behind the glass of iced water that he was sipping from.
The plan was going well.
Taehyung looked baffled. He stood beside you with his mouth hanging open, too confused as to how the boys who were sitting on the floor playing the sixth round of UNO suddenly decided that they couldn’t stay in the house for more than a hot minute.
Taehyung turned to look at you with his eyebrows pinched together.
“What just happened?”
“I have no idea,” you lied easily with a simply laugh. Taehyung didn’t think much of it, shaking his head and taking your hand to walk back to the couch.
“Whatever, I shouldn’t be surprised. I’m a part of a band filled with a bunch of lunatics.”
“Don’t be mean,” you giggled, pinching his ribs. He jerked away from you in surprise, giving you a look.
“I’m being mean now?”
“Sorry,” you chuckled, pulling him back towards you. For the first time ever since the boys left, he took a proper look at your face, carefully analyzing your expression.
“I suppose you’re not a part of whatever drugs they’ve been on, right?”
You guffawed at his words, throwing your head back and cackling loudly. “I don’t do drugs, and neither do they, silly.”
“…okay.”
“You don’t believe me? I don’t even know the names of half of the drugs out there, bro.”
“Bro,” Taehyung snorted, looking up at the ceiling to hold in an imaginary nosebleed. “All these years and I’ve become your bro.”
“It’s a habit,” you chuckled lightly. “Sorry… bro.”
“Oh, how the times have changed,” he sniffled dramatically. “I’ve been called ‘brother’ by my beloved wife. How tasty does that sound?”
“And the Oscar goes to…” you patted your thighs, mimicking a drumroll. “Kim Taehyung!”
“I mean,” he suddenly smirked. “We have been playing around with names in our relationship, haven’t we?”
“I know what you mean, naughty,” you covered your mouth in mock shame. “You seemed to have liked a certain nickname quite a bit.”
“Oh, I really did,” he bit his lip, closing his eyes and shaking his head at the memory. “Daddy. Ooh la la!”
“Have you gotten used to it?”
“Not really,” he admitted with a shy laugh. “It catches me off-guard every time you call me that.”
“You might have to get used to it,” you hinted with a light blush.
Taehyung’s eyebrows shot into his hairline.
“I see…” he trailed off skeptically. “Is that why the boys suddenly left? You wanted to have some fun?”
“Maybe I did,” you giggled like a little girl.
“And you call me naughty,” he teased you with a heavy smirk. “We would’ve been home in a few hours anyway. But then again,” he rolled his eyes. “I know how irresistible I can be at times.”
“Right,” you scoffed.
“Do you disagree?”
“Certainly not.”
“So you agree that I’m irresistible?”
You nodded.
“Irresistible enough to send the boys away? To have some fun?”
You nodded again.
“Yoongi hyung is literally in his room.”
“He knows, too.”
Taehyung gasped. “Ooooh.”
“Yeah.”
“But for today, I refuse to have you call me daddy. It’s weird. I’m in my hyung’s house. If he ever hears that, he’s never going to let me live it down.”
“If he ever hears anything, he wouldn’t let either of us live it down.”
“And you say ‘he knows’,” Taehyung scoffed. “What’s the point in doing the jig at his place then?”
“I couldn’t wait.” You casually shrugged.
Taehyung smirked, narrowing his eyes at you.
“Aww,” he cooed, taking your hand into his own. “Haven’t I hit the jackpot with you?”
“You certainly have,” you chuckled, finally deciding that it was time. Enough of jokes. Taehyung needed to know.
“But you’re going to have to get used to getting called ‘daddy’.”
He cocked an eyebrow at you. “That came out of nowhere. You’re usually so shy whenever you call me that.”
“I am,” you nodded with a smile. “But you’re going to get called that quite often now.”
His lips rolled into a tight line, holding back his grin.
“Not just by me.”
Taehyung blinked once, then again, before attempting to gag at your words.
“Ma’am,” he held a hand up. “Please. I don’t need anyone else to call me that. It’s kinda personal, y’know?”
“It is. But you don’t have an option.”
“Only you get to call me that,” he shook his head adamantly.
“There are others who will call you that, too.”
“No, thank you.”
“What did you call your father when you were a kid?”
He looked confused. “’Dad’?”
“What do you want our kids to call you?”
“’Dad’ should be okay,” he laughed uneasily.
“What if they call you ‘daddy’?”
“Um,” he looked away and chuckled. “I wouldn’t mind.”
“That’s great then. It’s all set.”
“But that’s when we have kids,” Taehyung pointed out with a fond smile. “Until then, only you get to call me daddy.”
“And when we have kids? Should I stop calling you that?”
“(Y/n), what are you on about?” Taehyung looked genuinely confused.
You simply laughed at his expression, reaching into your bag and taking out a little box. Placing it in the palm of his hand, you urged him to open it.
Taehyung gazed at the rectangular box in his palm, touching the dainty purple ribbon with his fingers before tugging at it. He placed the ribbon carefully over his thigh, finally opening the box. You kept a keen eye on every little reaction that played over his face, a little gasp of surprise tumbling past his pink lips that had a light layer of lip balm over it.
Taehyung stared at the box for a good minute, simply letting his eyes soak in everything that suddenly seemed so surreal. When he looked up was when you noticed the tears that clouded his vision.
“Is this… real?” He whispered, painfully low. When a tear slipped past his lower eyelid, he quickly wiped it away so that it wouldn’t destroy the gift that you had prepared for him.
“Very much,” you confirmed in a soft whisper. He seemed to break even further, placing the box beside him and covering his eyes with both of his hands.
“No way.”
“It’s finally happening, baby,” you murmured gently, shifting closer to him and slipping a hand around his shoulder. He immediately molded into your touch, continuing to cry into his hands and leaning into your chest.
“Is this really real?”
At that moment, it was hard for you to control your own tears. You placed a warm hand against the side of his face, tenderly brushing away the brown locks that were stuck to his temples.
“It is. We’re going to be parents.”
Taehyung broke into another tiny sob that was partially mixed with a laugh of belief. Sniffling slightly, he shuffled out of your grip to fall onto his knees in front of you, holding both of your hands up against his lips.
“I love you so much.”
You nodded with a watery smile. “I love you more.”
“We’ve finally made it.”
You looked down at your lap, running your thumbs all over his knuckles.
“I…” you started, swiping your tongue over your lip briefly. “I’m sorry you had to wait so long.”
“What are you talking about?” He mumbled under his breath, gently wiping away your tears and letting his hand rest over your cheek. “You don’t need to be sorry for anything.”
“It’s just that… we’ve gone through so much to have a baby. And now that it’s finally happening, I can’t actually process it.”
“I know, my love,” Taehyung whispered against your hands, kissing them as gently as he could. “And I’m so proud of you for never giving up.”
“The look on your face every time a test would turn out negative absolutely killed me,” you admitted sorrowfully. “I kept thinking that I was failing you in some way.”
“Never,” he firmly stated. “You never once did, and you never will. Especially when it comes to something as big as this. Yes, we did want kids and we tried so much for it, but it happened only when it was supposed to. We’ve been blessed with a baby at the right time. I strongly believe so.”
Taehyung picked up the little box that you had prepared for him, taking out both the pregnancy tests and smiling softly.
“I remember this one,” he ran his fingers over the digital pregnancy test on the left. “That was the time we decided we wouldn’t consciously try for a baby again – that we would just let it happen when it needed to. I was so worried because we’d literally have you take so many tests each month and every time it came back negative, I’d see another part of you slowly disappear. It made me feel so… helpless.”
Taehyung sat back onto his kneels, looking up at you. “I remember feeling like I was failing you, as your husband.”
“You were my strength,” you murmured, touching his cheek ever so softly. “This test was the last one I had taken in almost six months now. It was so tempting to just take one each time my period was even a day late, but you kept me going. You took my mind off of the pain and you made me feel… happy again.”
“I’m thrilled to know that I did,” Taehyung whispered.
“And we’ve come a long way. We’ve finally made it. You’re going to be a father.”
Taehyung gazed into your eyes, his heart leaping at the depth of your words. It was finally happening. He was going to be a father.
“Our kids are going to run around calling you daddy,” you chuckled lightly, wiping away the remainder of your tears.
“Kids?”
Taehyung jerked in surprise at the sound of his hyung from behind him, two pairs of eyes trained on Yoongi who was only looking at you with a frown.
“Did you say kids?”
Taehyung’s gaze landed on you after a moment of thought.
“What?”
“Not just a kid, but kids? Is that what you wanted to tell me before?”
“Yoongi hyung knows?” Taehyung couldn’t hold back the low gasp. “(Y/n)?”
“Uh…” you chuckled nervously, looking into Yoongi’s eyes with a desperate shake of your head.
“You came in at the wrong time, Yoongi. I didn’t tell Taehyung yet.”
“Tell me what?”
Yoongi already seemed to get the idea, a fond grin growing on his face as he laughing sheepishly and turned to face the wall behind him.
“I’m giving you ten seconds, tell him now or else I’ll be the first to hug you - even before the father can.”
“What?”
Taehyung had a mix of fear and excitement in his expression, curious eyes snapping back and forth between you and his hyung, the words that the two of you were speaking appearing like question marks floating around his head.
“What do you have to tell me?”
“Ten!”
“Yoongi!” You squealed, trying to get him to stop because you yourself didn’t know how to word it out to Taehyung yet.
“Nine!”
Taehyung caught your arm in urgency. “(Y/n) what the hell is going on?”
“Eight!”
“Oh my goodness,” you held a hand up to your forehead, nervous eyes locking with Taehyung who appeared to be as clueless as ever.
“Seven!”
By then, Yoongi was slowly taking steps towards the couch, still facing the wall and holding a hand up to show you just how little time you have left.
“Six!”
“Yoongi!”
“(Y/n) just tell me already!”
“But-”
“Five!”
“I’m carrying twins!”
A beat of silence.
Then another.
Yoongi stayed frozen in his spot, hand held up mid-air, back facing you.
Taehyung on the other hand, couldn’t breathe.
He fell from the couch, standing up quickly onto to get back down onto his knees and hold a hand over his head.
“WHAT?!”
“(Y/n)!” And true to his word, before you knew it, Yoongi was pulling you up off of the couch, securing you in a tight embrace with excited giggles buzzing through his chest.
“I knew it!”
“Wha-”
“Taehyung!”
Yoongi didn’t bother about the young man who didn’t know whether he was gasping for air or trying not to cough at the same time, his arms not letting you go help your husband breathe and calm down.
“We’re going to have two little babies in this house soon! Oh- (Y/n), you have to give me one. You both raise one and give me another. I’ll take care of – hell I can take care of both of them. Just let me have them.”
“Yoongi,” you wheezed at his words, clutching the edge of his t-shirt as you cackled into his shoulder.
“What do you mean, ‘let you have them’?”
“(Y/n)-”
Taehyung was slowing trying to make his way into a standing position, taking the full support of the couch beside him and pushing himself up with trembling arms.
“Hyung-”
“I mean exactly that,” Yoongi patted your back thrice. “You both can go out and have your lovey-dovey dates, leave your kids with me. I’ll take good care of them. I’ll feed them on –”
“Hyung!”
“-time, I’ll have their diapers changed and give them really warm and lovely baths, with those floaty ducks –”
“Yoongi,” you chuckled at the desperation in Taehyung’s voice which Yoongi didn’t seem to bother about. By then, Taehyung was barely a step away from the two of you, a trembling hand gripping Yoongi’s elbow and pulling it away from you.
“Let me hold my wife.”
“Not right now,” Yoongi decided, brushing Taehyung’s hand off and turning his back to him so as to shield you away from Taehyung. “I’m talking to her.”
“I’m going to have twins, for heaven’s sake! Let me hold my wife! Let me at least cry in peace!”
“No –”
You gently tapped Yoongi’s lower back with a laugh. “I’ll get back to you bubba, let me handle my husband for now.”
Yoongi only smirked in response, quickly dipping his head to brush a kiss against your temple before releasing you.
“Jagiya,” Taehyung spoke into you the air, not letting you have a moment of freedom and immediately attaching himself to you after Yoongi let you go.
“You’re really – we’re really having twins? Two little ones?”
“We are,” you gently ran your hand over the expanse of his back. “We are, Taehyung.”
“No way,” he marveled, a mixture of giggles and sobs being let out into the curve of your neck. “How is this possible?”
“It just is,” you laughed in delight. “I can’t believe I have two babies inside me. How crazy is that?”
“Oh God!” Taehyung cried out, pulling away and holding you by your shoulders to gently shake you. “What?! How is this real?”
“It is,” you gushed in excitement. “Here, see.”
Taking his hand in yours, you placed his large palm over the already noticeable bump that was hidden behind your shirt, watching in fascination as Taehyung’s jaw dropped at the curve.
“Me too!” Yoongi pushed himself into the little space between you and the couch, covering the rest of your bump with his own palm. “Oh my god.”
“Crazy, yeah?”
“I still can’t believe it,” Taehyung admitted in a low murmur, eyes still trained on his hand resting over the safe haven that held his little ones.
“I cannot even predict how the boys would react,” Yoongi sighed. “Jimin will cry. For sure. Hoba would be screaming.”
“Namjoon would probably be the sane one,” you guessed with a little laugh.
“Plot twist,” Taehyung sniffled, “he might be the one to cry.”
“Maybe Jin hyung too,” Yoongi cackled with a slap to his knee. “Hyung would start planning the meals he’d pack for the kid’s tiffin boxes to school, I’m sure of that.”
“This is so exciting!” Taehyung squealed in delight, briefly pushing Yoongi’s hand away and bending down to pick you up into his arms, twirling you around with endless giggles and gasps tumbling past his lips.
“We’re going to have two babies!”
"Yes, and I get to keep one!" Yoongi piped in.
"NO!"
"YES!"
"Hyung, no!"
"Shut up. One will be for me. That's final. Now get lost and let me congratulate my little sister properly."
Summary: Two months into your relationship and Taehyung has a special request :)
Warnings: Taehyung being the softest, most genuine boyfriend ever. He voices every thought without hesitation. He talks a lot and you're thoroughly enjoying it :)
Requested by @kimtaeshiya : Hii so I have a request if you could write an imagine where Taehyung convinces (y/n) for trying for a baby. And if you could add fluff and some romance too 🥺👉👈
A/n: I'm not too sure if this is what you had in mind, but I really just got carried away with that one video where Taehyung wipes away the tears of that little girl from the set and comforts her because she's crying. I've said this a million times and I could say it again, Taehyung is just going to be the best father on this planet.
"Hmm..." You smirked. "Would you care to explain what that was?"
Taehyung couldn't help but look away, his hand still in yours and his steps faltering ever so slightly.
"It's self-explanatory," he stated.
"Oh really?" Your head tipped back with a laugh. "What you said was self-explanatory?"
"Mhm," he adjusted his cap with his free hand.
"I'm not asking you to explain what you said, I'm asking you why you said what you said."
Taehyung paused momentarily to slip his hand past his knee to scratch at an itch, sniffing indifferently and tugging your hand to pull you back into the walk. Your house was 15 minutes away from where you both were right now, and Taehyung had insisted that he wanted to walk you back home instead of driving. So here you were, walking hand in hand down the footpath at half-past midnight with the man who had just admitted a desire that left your world shaking.
"It's true," Taehyung bit his lip. "I've always wanted to be a father."
"And you will, someday," you squeezed his hand gently. He looked to the side to catch a glimpse of your eyes staring back at him, a soft frown evident on his face.
"I want to have a child," Taehyung got straight to the point.
"You will."
"I want to have a child with you."
By then, he had pulled you to a stop, his hand guiding you to face him and gently tugging at your fingers enough to bring you a step closer to him. His black coat hung heavily over his shoulders, the collar of his cream shirt bent and sticking out rather awkwardly.
His hair was quite long, you noticed. Dyed a dark shade of brown after months of electric blue, his hair looked softer than his features, shining under the yellow glow of the streetlight above the two of you. His cap sat cushioned over his head, hiding almost half of his eyes under its shadow, yet the close proximity allowed you to properly gauge every reaction of his with ease.
"I know you do."
"I'm sorry, I made you uncomfortable, right?"
Taehyung looked nervous like he had just made a big mistake. His words were sincere over the dinner table, eyes looking for approval from his bandmates but both his hyungs mirrored his reaction because they could see how taken aback you were.
"No, I was simply surprised," you reassured him.
"I'm sorry," he repeated again.
"Taehyung," you called out to him to bring his attention back to you. "Don't worry about what you said, I wasn't uncomfortable, I promise."
"Yeah?" He looked hopeful.
"Mhm," you nodded. ""It really just surprised me.”
“I know all of this is like – too soon. Like, really soon. I shouldn’t have even said what I said, but I can’t help but be honest with you. That’s how I’ve always been with you, (Y/n).”
“And I appreciate that, my love.” You smiled encouragingly at him.
“You’re my best friend,” he admitted sincerely. “You have been the closest person to me for the past fourteen years and I don’t want this new chapter of our lives to change the bond that we had.”
It’s quite true. It was only recently that the two of you became aware of the growing feelings that you had for each other, and unlike most situations, you and Taehyung found your way to each other in your own time.
Three months ago, under the stars one night, Taehyung had spoken his heart out to you in the rawest, most vulnerable form, admitting that his love for you – as much as it had always been there – suddenly had a different tone to it.
A tinge of affection in the sense that he wanted to squeeze your cheeks every time you said something funny, unlike his usual playful slap to your arm.
A hint of possessiveness every time someone would turn back to take a longer look at you as they walked past, his hand automatically pulling you into his side and brushing off your questioning gaze with a broad grin.
A strange feeling in his tummy whenever he would hear the glorious laughter that would bubble out of you, a feeling that confused him and made him fall just a little silent to take a moment and reflect on the source of his nervousness that would suddenly overtake him.
A sense of jealousy whenever a guy would approach you for reasons he had no mind to pay attention to, an urge to simply stand up and tell the world that he did, in fact, have a reason to protect you behind him, a reason that once did not exist but he wanted it to. He wanted to be called more than just your best friend.
He wanted to be called your boyfriend.
He wanted to be your boyfriend.
And just as he went on about how much he longed to hold your hand and never stop looking into your eyes and simply lean into you and just kiss you – you showed him that he could. Because that night, under the stars, you shut him up with the softest, most amazing kiss the two of you have ever had. So soft and so filled with love that Taehyung actually began to cry, but he had assured you that they were tears of happiness because he just could no longer contain his love for you.
Taehyung had always been honest that way. Brutally honest; if you will. He spoke what came to his mind and rarely put much thought into whether or not it would make you feel good or bad until he has said it.
So of course, even though you and Taehyung had been best friends for fourteen years, Taehyung just had to confess that he had been dreaming of becoming a father. And even though you and Taehyung had been dating for a mere two months, Taehyung just had to tell you that he wanted to do that with you.
“It won’t change us, Tae,” you murmured gently.
“Is it so wrong to want that? To have a baby with you?” He wondered with a small voice.
“It really isn’t,” you smiled fondly.
“I’ve known you for what feels like a lifetime, and these past two months haven’t felt any different because it’s you. You’re the woman that I love, you’re the woman that I’ve loved and you’re the one that I’ll always love. I will marry you one day, and I want to have a family with you.”
Your heart began to swell with love at his words, absolutely loving this feature of your boyfriend. Honest, brutally honest, and vocal about every little thing that’s on his mind. You loved it so much.
“Do you see us that way, too?” He finally asked you.
You really just couldn’t take it anymore, so without a word, you stepped forward and wrapped both of your arms around his shoulders, pulling him into your embrace. He sighed into your neck, melting into your touch and breathing out a soft hum.
“I do,” you mumbled into his coat. “I do see us that way.”
“I should’ve talked to you about this in private,” he began with the tiniest shake of his head, nuzzling his face deeper into the warmth of your skin. “But that little boy that ran past our table really made me feel like one day - I want our baby to run around like that too.”
“I saw the expression on your face,” you spoke softly, running a loving hand across his back. “I knew what you were thinking at that moment.”
“You did?” He pulled back but held you close to him, looking at you with wide eyes.
You nodded with a grin. “I did.”
“Were you thinking the same thing as me?” asked Taehyung.
“Not exactly the same thing,” you smiled softly, reaching for his collar and straightening it. “I was thinking of what a lovely dad you would be one day.”
“You think I would?” His smile widened in fascination, eyes glazing over at the thought of it actually happening someday.
“I know you would.”
“Ah,” he giggled a little, feeling on top of the world. “I’m really hoping for that to happen soon.”
“It just might,” you ran a gentle finger over his cheek. He looked back down into your eyes after the little daydream that he had slipped into, eyebrows raising ever so slightly.
“Am I wrong to assume that you’re wanting the same?”
Your head shook, letting your fingers intertwine behind his neck. “You’re not. I want to have a baby with you, too, Taehyung.”
“You do?!” He shrieked, instantly lowering his voice after noticing the little echo, a mischievous giggle slipping past his lips when his shoulders raised sheepishly. “Oops.”
“That was loud,” your head tipped back in laughter.
“Sorry,” he chuckled, gazing down at you fondly. “You do?”
“I certainly do.” Your nod of confirmation made him gasp happily.
“I really love you,” he admitted sincerely, leaning just a little into you so that he could kiss the skin beneath your eye. “I love you more than I could ever describe.”
“And I love you more, Taehyung,” you responded genuinely. “I love you so much.”
“Now that I think of it,” he wondered, eyes beginning to travel around the place distractedly. “I know that I want to have a baby with you, but I want to do things right. I want to ask you to marry me first. Then I want us to plan every little detail of our wedding and also our home. We’re gonna have the best home ever. We’ll make it so beautiful that even our kids will never want to leave it.”
You could only gaze up at the man of your dreams in awe, too speechless to say anything.
"It's probably weird that I've already thought of all this, and whenever the boys and I would talk about the time we would finally settle down and have kids, they all really wanted their first child to be a boy."
He caught your eye briefly, a distracted smile lifting the corners of his lips. He was still deep in thought, too excited to tell you all that he had been thinking about, so without any hesitation, he reached for your hand and pulled the two of you back into a walk again.
"But I really want a girl," he whispered gently. "I want to have a daughter."
"You do?" you mumbled in fascination, allowing him to guide you because you were too lost in the light that twinkled in his eyes.
"I do, (Y/n)," he nodded. "I want to be able to braid her hair and buy her little dresses and boots. Maybe even those flower hair clips that we saw in the store that day."
Your heart leaped at the thought.
"I want to be able to sing to her and let her fall asleep on my shoulder knowing that her daddy would always be there to take care of her. I'll let her take the school bus instead of driving her there because my little girl will learn how to become strong."
"You've thought a lot about this," you observed with a fond smile.
"A man can dream, (Y/n)." Taehyung turned to glance at you with the most genuine smile, giving your hand a quick squeeze.
"I've always pictured you having a daughter, too," you murmured. His steps visibly slowed, giving you his full attention.
"I saw you that day. With the little girl from the set. You comforted her when she was crying and I swear I almost melted into a puddle when I saw you wipe away her tears. You were so gentle, it made my heart skip a beat or something."
Taehyung chuckled at your words, a long sigh coming from him soon after.
"You know? I've always had this thought in my mind. Like - I don't want to spoil my kids rotten. I want them to grow well, I want them to become independent. I want them to play around and fall and scrape their knees or elbows because ten years later they'll look at those scars and know that they've truly lived their childhood well."
"That's...true actually," you noted with a little nod. "Wow, I never thought of it that way."
"I love children," Taehyung finally finished with a grin. "I love kids, and I really can't wait until I have my own."
"You're going to be such an amazing father, Taehyung." You pulled his arm closer to yours, linking it with your own and attaching him to your side. Taehyung couldn't do much but smile, a glaze over his eyes making them glisten as if he had tears in them.
But he was happy. You were happy. This moment, as real as it was, felt like a dream. A dream that was finally coming true.
"I could only do that with you by my side, (Y/n)."

Not me realizing that I now have 4/7 stories about Taehyung as a dad omg. Is it too much? No, it's not.
Should there be another part to this to see the aftermath? After they get married? It's got me wondering :)
Warnings: Taehyung doing everything every father should do. Maybe him loving his baby's bum cheeks a little too much.
3:24 AM
Taehyung’s eyes landed on the digital clock that displayed the time by the corner of the room, a hand reaching to grab the blanket and shrug it off of his body. Distant whines, squeaky and soft reached his ears, a warm smile tugging at his lips when he paused his movements to just sit on the bed and let the tips of his finger trace his wedding ring.
It had been the best year of his life. There was no doubt in that. Marrying the woman that he loved, getting to spend every moment of every day with her, spoiling her, and also getting spoiled in return. Yet, one of the most memorable parts of this journey was the day he finally realized that he had become a dad. It wasn’t right away when he found out that you were pregnant. It wasn’t even when he felt his little child kick against his palm that was resting over the swell of your bump.
It was around this time of the night, a few months ago, when he had randomly woken up with tears simply streaming down his face. He had felt it right then, a feeling that he could never describe even if he tried to. He just knew that for the first time in his life, he was a father. Ever since, this part of his morning had been the highlight of his day. A sense of peace, a mind-boggling memory that made him feel giddy each time his eyes naturally opened. A time that he felt like he was on top of the world.
Taehyung had already begun to murmur little words of praise the moment he stepped into the room of his little angel, eyes sparkling with happiness at the sight of his son waiting for him with his arms outstretched in his tiny bed.
“Hi, baby.”
Chubby legs that kicked excitedly at the sight of his father made Taehyung’s smile widen, bending to duck beneath the florescent stars and moons that hung over the bed to run a gentle hand over his son’s head. The little boy’s face turned towards the warmth of his father’s touch, light brown hair soft and smooth against Taehyung’s palm. The tiny cries were long forgotten by the child; the remnants of the tears now being wiped away ever so softly by Taehyung’s thumb.
“Are you happy to see me?” Taehyung cooed at the way his baby babbled, hands excitedly pushing through the air in an attempt to be lifted up. With a soft kiss to the boy’s temple, Taehyung slipped his hands beneath his son’s body, long fingers supporting his neck, lifting him up and against his chest, a protective hand holding his little one beneath his head and another right under his cute little bum.
“Appa missed you so much,” Taehyung gushed, gently peppering numerous feather light kisses all over his little face. Eyes that shone brightly under the gentle golden glow of the room stared back at his father’s face, eyelashes long and wet with previous tears yet not a trace of sadness evident in them. The little one giggled excitedly, both hands resting against Taehyung’s collarbones while his chubby feet that had a pair of yellow superman socks over them kicked happily against Taehyung’s stomach.
“Aigo, why was my baby crying, huh?” Taehyung gently traced a finger over the tear stains that streaked down his son’s temples. “Were you missing me? Hmm?”
Taehyung couldn’t help but reach forward to catch that little nose between his lips, attempting to softly bite it off even though his lips cushioned his teeth so that he wouldn’t hurt his baby.
“Or were you hungry? Hmm? Haven’t you got your massive appetite from me?”
Walking the two of them into the kitchen, Taehyung continued to chat away with his son, occasionally giving him a little bounce against his hip that pulled joyous squeaks from the little boy's grinning mouth. His hand never left the boy’s middle, protectively keeping him to his own chest, the other expertly pulling out everything that he needed.
Taehyung poured some water into the kettle to bring it to a good boil, pulling out the box of milk powder from the cupboard and opening the sterilizer to take out a freshly sterilized milk bottle. While he began to randomly rap a few parts from one of their songs, something he was quick to notice his son enjoyed thoroughly, Taehyung also began to laugh along with his son who cackled each time he enunciated words that sounded funny to him. Three scoops into the bottle and the knob of the electric kettle ticked shut, the red light turning off and a smooth white streak of steam rushing through the opening.
He held his son away from the kettle, making sure to tighten his grip around the little boy’s waist when he poured the boiling hot water into the bottle, watching how numerous bubbles formed over the milk powder that clumped initially but soon began to melt away into a creamy white meal for his little one. Taehyung hummed at the sweet smell of the milk, covering the bottle and giving it a good shake.
“We’ll let this cool for a bit,” Taehyung turned to look at the boy in his arms, holding his hand and smiling at the way his fingers curled around his thumb. “Okay? Shall we go change you up?”
Experienced hands pushed into the soft material of the pamper, another gentle coo leaving his mouth at the way his pamper sagged just a little, soaked and heavy.
“My little baby is too cute, let me just eat you up,” Taehyung laughed, patting his bum and biting into his reddened cheek. His son squealed, glorious giggles rushing through his chest at the way his father was playing with him.
He set the boy down on the soft material of the grey changing pad, giving him his little toy horse to occupy himself with and placing his pacifier at his lip, waiting for his son to take it in.
“Cutie, cutie,” Taehyung sang ever so softly, pulling out a fresh diaper from the packet and tugging at the soft material of his blue pants. For the first time since his father had held him, the little boy looked away and towards the brown toy in his hand, fingernails that were cut short and neat scraping against the body of the horse.
Taehyung tore the sides of the pamper, holding both of his legs high up into the air and pulling the diaper from beneath him. Rolling it into a nice little ball, Taehyung dumped the used pamper into the bin near the board, giving his cute butt cheeks a soft tap. Sniffling distractedly, Taehyung then pulled a wet wipe from the packet, gently running it all along the places that were covered by the pamper, taking out another one to make sure he was nice and clean.
He then bent a little closer to look for any rashes on the soft skin, running a finger along each side of his hips and bum, a satisfied sigh escaping his chest when he found none. Patting a generous amount of powder onto his hands, he ran it along all corners, around his groin, and along the smooth curve of his butt.
“You really like your horse, don’t you?” Taehyung smiled at the way he was holding his toy high up in the air, quickly reaching for his hand that dropped to push the head of the horse into his mouth.
“Ah, ah! No,” Taehyung shook his head, making sure to emphasize the last word to teach his son the meaning of it. Pushing it a little, the boy soon forgot about it, pulling at the feet and kicking his legs in wonder.
“You’re almost done, sweet thing.”
Taehyung slipped his hand into one of the gaps of the diaper, grabbing the boy's right leg and smoothly pulling it right through. Repeating it for the left one as well, Taehyung lifted both of his legs again and pulled the pamper comfortably against his butt.
“You’re all good. Do you want some pants? Or no?”
The child couldn’t be bothered by the insensible words that floated towards him, soon dropping the horse and reaching both of his hands up for Taehyung to pick him up. A good meal and a good sleep was something he didn’t know he wanted, preoccupying himself with the brown strands of his father’s hair while he was being carried back to the kitchen.
Taehyung picked up the bottle that felt warm against his palm, tilting it slightly under some of it dripped onto the thin skin on the back of his hand.
“Just the right temperature for my little dumpling. Let’s have some nyam nyam before we sleep.”
Taehyung chose to settle down on the couch instead of the nursery, back inclined against the white cushions and settling the excited nine-month-old baby in between his thighs. Pulling him gently until he was resting against Taehyung’s stomach, he placed the nipple of the bottle at his bottom lip, urging the boy to grab the bottle and push it further into his mouth.
Taehyung then loosened the cover just a bit until he could see a stream of bubbles rush through the top end of the bottle, not wanting the boy to struggle to pull the milk through it. Resting further against the comfort of the sofa, Taehyung then placed a firm hand against his son’s stomach, a touch of reassurance so that he wouldn’t jerk awake in fear, while the other rested over his head, his hand large and warm against the soft skin of his son’s forehead. He occasionally let his hand move further until his palm covered the little one’s eyes, then ran the pad of his thumb against his temple and cheek, a touch that usually calms his baby and lulls him into a sweet sleep.
The occasional sounds of the clock ticking in the distance and the suckling sounds that came from the boy who was now halfway through his bottle of milk made Taehyung hum a sigh of relief, feeling light and happy. There was just no way to describe what he felt.
A man who was always good with children, now with his own child in his arms, gently patting him and feeding him until the boy was satisfied. There was nothing on the face of this world that could make him want something else, nothing that he could trade this feeling for.
Becoming a father, and being a father, was the best thing that he had ever grown into. A glove that fit just right, a cool breeze that made him feel like all the burdens of this world would be carried away with it. He felt good.
Great, for that matter.
Thankful for the tiny little boy who was now falling asleep in his father’s hold, grateful for the fact that he could indeed have a chance to become a dad, especially to such a sweet angel.
Heavy eyelids that were now closing in on his will to stay awake kept him from leaning down to kiss his son goodnight. So with lazy yet loving fingers, Taehyung traced his son’s cheeks softly, letting them rest reassuringly over his chest before both of them slipped into yet another content slumber.
