Getting Ahead

Sooah packed away her gym bag in her locker and made her way outside, feeling a sense of incongruous relief that she knew deep down had to do with the fact that for the next hour, she couldn’t try to call Jimin even if she wanted to.

In other words, for the next hour, her calls wouldn’t get screened and she wouldn’t have to listen to his outgoing message that she had memorised by now.

New Year’s Eve

As Yoongi fishes out his pack of cigarettes, he looks up to see Taehyung bopping towards him with a tumbler of whiskey in one hand.

“Hyung!” Still bopping, he turns to stand next to Yoongi and throws an enthusiastic arm over his shoulder. “Where are you going?”

“For a smoke. Want to come?”

“Oh. No. I’m trying to…” Taehyung trails off and shakes his head, and Yoongi pretends not to notice how he deliberately averts his gaze from the pack.

“Okay, then. I’ll see you in -“ Yoongi stops abruptly in his tracks when he sees what seems like a ghost. “Not that I care,” he begins, feeling oddly calm, “but who invited Kang freaking Chanel to this party?”

24. How much prep work do you put into your stories? What does that look like for you? Do you enjoy this part or do you just want to get on with it?

im very notorious for not putting any prep whatsoever into my stories lol. a lot of them are just me writing what feels good and figuring things out from there. However, when i do prep, i really enjoy it! it tends to be working out the general plot and deciding what character development i would like to consider

27. Who is the most stressful character you’ve ever written? Why?

I don’t think characters are very stressful for me to write, but generally very peppy and happy personalities i struggle with.

34. Thoughts on the Oxford comma, Go:

The oxford comma is superior when it comes to serious writing. essays, stories, etc, you name it. but when texting my friends i honestly dont care unless it could be taken badly

of course, lmao. this was written just for shits. it’s an older crackfic that i’m working on rewriting. i’ll put a snippet below because i have no new summary yet 😂 

Hoseok almost flipped his chair backward with the way he jumped and Seokjin let out a squeak of surprise. They both whipped around to see Jungkook standing in the doorway, looking as mischievous as ever.

"J-Jungkook. Why are you up so early?"

"I heard Yoongi yelling and I assumed someone had woken him up so I came to check. Why didn't you want to tell me about your problem? I'm just as good a listener as Jin-hyung."

"It's not that! I just...didn't want a lot of people to find out is all."

Jungkook waved off Hoseok and made his way to the fridge, grabbing a carton of orange juice. "Nope, it's too late. I'm offended and my feelings are hurt." He paused to get a glass, the silence making Hoseok uncomfortable. "I'm sure Y/n's feelings would also be hurt knowing that her loving boyfriend doesn't get aroused by her anymore when they've been together for three years." Jungkook listened to Hoseok gasp and fumble to get out of his seat as he drank his juice with a smile.

Hoseok was next to him in an instant. "It's not like that! Please don't tell her!"

"Why not? I mean, she was my friend first. What kind of friend would I be to her if I didn't tell her something I knew about her boyfriend? Friends do come first after all."

"B-but, we're brothers! Just please don't say anything, I'm begging you, Jungkook!"

"Fine."

"Fine?"

"Fine?" Seokjin mimicked Hoseok.

"Fine. I won't tell her. Under one condition."

Of course there was a catch. This was Jungkook after all. "What do you want?"

Jungkook tapped his finger against his chin in thought before answering. "I want you to do whatever I say. I may not feel like doing my laundry one of these days or making dinner when it's my turn. That's where you come in." The younger man sent Hoseok a too-big smile before setting his empty glass in the sink and leaving the kitchen.

Hoseok went back to his spot at the table and sank into his seat. "I have a feeling he's not going to make this easy for me at all."

“Of course, have you met him? Jungkook’s a little shit.” Seokjin shrugged and got up from his chair, leaving his friend to sulk in the kitchen. Now that that was settled, maybe he could get a few more hours of sleep, permitting Yoongi let him back into the room

it's fine. certainly better than what my parents were going to name me. I can't really think of a name I'd want more, so I suppose I do.

.... what hairstyle? I get my shower in the morning, brush my hair, and then let it air dry throughout the day. sometimes, I'll put JVN's anti-frizz cream in it when it's really humid, but that's as far as I go

"Why do ask? Would you like to play with me?" Realm!Taehyung raises his brow.

Pyn immediately smacks him on the wing with a handful of dirt. "Stop that. Bad. Bad. What will your beau say?"

Ouro!Jungkook sighs as the two begin arguing again. A snake tail circles around Pyn's waist to stop him from trying to hit the fallen angel. He tries his best to answer over the ruckus.

"I like playing hide-and-seek. Especially as the seeker. It creates a thrill. Realm!Taehyung is not much of a game player. If riling the little caretaker up would be considered a game to you, then that would likely be his favourite."

The arguing suddenly stops as the caretaker perks up. "We love rain! Ouro!Jungkook and I like to watch as it comes down and sometimes we just sit in it."

"Not me." Realm!Taehyung snarls. "Rain is annoying. It messes with the feathers in my wings. I hate having to deal with the colours bleeding through."

"From best to worst: Kit, me and lastly, Raven." Ouro!Jungkook lists.

"Best in this case is very relative. I am only decent. I can make a cake. I can make cookies but they're not like, great or anything. They're edible at least." Pyn shrugs.

Realm!Taehyung waves his hand dismissively. "I don't cook. Ever. I don't eat, hence not requiring to do any kind of food making."
