Can we just take a moment to appreciate how well choreographed Sara’s fight scenes are and how well Caity Lotz executes them? Like having a bad ass rough and tumble female character only goes so far if the girl hasn’t been taught how to properly punch. Or anyone for that matter, but I recognize it more commonly in women’s fighting scenes maybe because I’m a woman and I love putting myself in the shoes of women being bad asses. But in a lot of fighting scenes where a woman throws a punch, and it’s supposed to be a really good landing punch, it doesn’t look believable. And that was a problem that I had a lot of the time with BTVS. Where like a lot of the punches didn’t look very authentic, especially on Buffy’s end, and she was supposed to be like this kick ass girl. And not to shit on SMG, because she did great as Buffy and I know that a lot of her other forms were pretty on point. But like, Caity’s form is so fucking good, you guys. And I just really like the attention to detail with making sure her form is good. I dunno, maybe it’s just me but fight scenes and form are really important to me in terms of getting into the story. Because like she makes you believe that she’s a master assassin, and it’s magnificent. But I mean Caity is also a martial artist and a dancer, so she basically just got the perfect role.
