" Bubak is a monster in the folklore of central Europe and especially the Czech Republic. This creature has the appearance of a scarecrow. Bubak mimics the cries of a baby to lure his victims. According to legend, Bubak weaves cloth from the souls of humans. "
Very underrated creature tbh. Like, they'd work very well in horror media set in rural areas!!! They'd straight up manipulate the atmosphere of any scene with their vocal Mimicry and easily psychologically manipulate characters for prime drama and fear! idk how "making cloth out of human souls" could even be useful, like idk what they'd use that soul cloth for - maybe to repair themself if they get damaged? That could be an interesting self-"healing" ability or smth in that case (tho ill have to research it to see if that has any kind of backing in their lore)
