Confessions of a Mini Bubble Skirt Hater
-> The Mini Bubble Skirt of 2024
As a self-proclaimed recent fashion expert (who spends way too much time online), I've taken it upon myself to critique current trends. And today's victim? The mini bubble skirt. This trend has been popping up all over my feed this past year, and while I haven't encountered it in the wild yet (thankfully), I can't stay silent any longer. This skirt? It's ugly. Let's dive into the why.
Reason 1: Unfortunate Views
Let's be real, girls with curves often struggle to find clothes that fit well. As someone who can relate, this skirt is a hard pass. It practically screams 'wardrobe malfunction waiting to happen.' With how short these skirts are, it's unavoidable. Call me old-fashioned, but I prefer a more subtle, classy look.
Reason 2: Unflattering Silhouette
This one's a bit more objective, but hear me out. Mini bubble skirts can create a weird, disproportionate silhouette, especially on certain body types. They can make your legs look shorter and your hips wider, which isn't exactly the goal for most people.
Not just this, but its an odd looking skirt in general? It doesn't look like it was made with a human body in mind lol..
Reason 3: Trendiness over Timelessness
The mini bubble skirt screams 'I saw it on TikTok.' But here's the thing: trends fade. A timeless piece will always look good, no matter the year. In the age of TikTok and ever-changing fashion fads, it's smarter to invest in pieces you'll actually love for years to come.
Honestly, this is just my opinion, and everyone has the right to wear what they like. But for me, you won't catch me wearing one. My concluding thought is that this is a fad, and it will pass quickly. Alternatives for me are simple black skirts. They're timeless and go with everything.
But, if you prefer something with a little more pazzazz, then I also enjoy a mini jean skirt like this one. vvvv
Of course, that is just my opinion and I am excited to hear yours! If you are into the bubble skirt then, you go girl!.. But seriously throw it away.
Love ya tho <3
