Most of the time, I give video games a fairly okay rating, even if the PC versions require a lot of work to get them, well, working. This one is different though. This one is a big disappointment.

Out of the four times I’ve actually tried to play Bubsy II on Steam, the game didn’t crash (in the emulator) exactly once

I just got my first random Bubsy card on Steam and it’s the one with the best possible picture

so uh

somehow, bubsy two-fur does not work on my machine

the steam controller is locked into desktop mode, and you can't remap all the buttons properly - i've had this happen once or twice, some games just have weird incompatibilities with it, sometimes it starts working, sometimes it doesn't

so i plug in my xbone controller, remap the buttons to use it

and i can't move up or down on the game select screen, all i can do is press any of A, B, X or Y to launch bubsy 1

and bubsy 1 shows the accolade logo, then freezes with the title screen music playing and a static version of the title screen background
