And as a supplement to the previous post, this is the other magically-tuned KAITO song that’s been stuck in my head (Salamander of Soap, when translated). Still boggles my mind that the V1 voicebank can sound like this.

Like I’m sure there was copious amounts of mixing outside of what the synth provides (there’s 10 vocal tracks for one thing) was made but like??? 2006 software contained this kind of potential???

Makes me wonder what kind of power users we will see in the future now that there’s seems to be diversity growing in voice synth engines/tools so lots of opportunities for unique takes on vocals (though tbh I don’t think anyone will go back to what I’ve heard is a more analytical/mathematical approach to voice synth like V1 Vocaloid so it might continue to live on because of that niche engine sound).
