I'll admit, it's a bit concerning how many relatives of their collateral family members Jamie and Claire have directly or indirectly murdered. Or attempted to murder. Or how many of them have tried to kill them...

Outlander S08E08 “In The Forest” x Back to the Future (1985)
Marty McFly: Wait a minute, Doc, are you trying to tell me that my mother has got the hots for me?
No one could guess this character in the Insta stories. Yeah, it was tough. 😅 I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't watched the recent episode or the season at all. Are there any, by the way? 👀 So, I wanted to paint the hero-savior Buck MacKenzie. He saved a very important gentleman, the king. 😁 And we're all VERY grateful to him for that, right? 🫶 But I drew the portrait based on a scene from the previous Outlander season 7. When Buck was talking to Roger. It was a very touching scene. Do you remember it?🥹
What did you mean in your repost about Diarmaid Murtagh when you said you didn't expect anything less than this from him? The picture is very cute in any case ❤️
Dear What Did You Mean Anon,
This blog has accessible Archives - use them. A simple search with 'Diarmaid', using the magnifier button would also have taken you to this post: https://www.tumblr.com/sgiandubh/782378411693867008/the-nuckelavee-is-a-really-really-nice-guy (posted May 2, 2025). I can confirm he is a very nice, open, approachable and humble person, with a great sense of humor. Meeting him, albeit very briefly, at the Landcon was a pleasure and I regret I did not bring a gift with me - he deserved it, for the stellar performance. Plus I am sure he would have really enjoyed it. Personally - not his minder, assistant or whoever else (driver? LOL).
Supporting roles and people who play them always interest me. It's not easy to take stock, let alone create your assigned character, when you work with people larger than life as main cast. But I am sure SC made him feel right at ease and at home in OL, hence the pic and the affectionately told story under it.
how wise was it for buck to stay in scotland at the time his parents' affair began though?? ik the present timeline is the same as his family's but with his wife and kids leaving america i figured it'd be safer there with the frasers
Outlander: Buck Season 5 VS Buck Season 7
So finally able to watch Season 7 (as a whole by the way, thanks for that as well), thanks to Netflix (since everyone else over here has lost interest in the show, no more TV beyond Season 5 and while Season 6 made it debut via physical media Season 7 will need two more month for that form of release, it seems. And while am I very glad they saw the light and did recast Buck (and did a very good job) the recast mainly brings me back to the question why they ever thought it was a good idea to cast Graham McTavish for that part in the first place. We have discussed enough times why everyone was not-so-happy with that in Season 5, and that especially the book readers were like "Okay and how are they ever going to do the later books with that?", but given the pace they are burning through those later books and storylines in Season 7 there is no way I buy them not being interested in doing the later books when the worked on Season 5, so ... I still think they just thought they were being smart back then and then realized ... "Oh, shit actually ... this might pose problems after alle now that we are doing those storylines" ... But again: It's not like people age backwards, you know. And people who do Television are supposed to grasp at least this fact of life....
Not a question but more of an info...
Sam is in Scotland and has most likely visited a friend who he has traveled home with him

Hi Anon, thanks for the info. It looks like Diarmaid Murtagh, the actor who plays Buck Mackenzie on Outlander, traveled to Scotland for work. He posted this on July 18 👇
And then today, Diarmaid posted he and Sam Heughan went riding MIDWEEK...Wednesday 👇
The story he posted today can be confusing because he mentions the weekend, but it's only in reference to the music played in the video setting the mood for your weekend "let this tune kickstart your weekend folks." 👇
So, they guys spent mid week riding together. And Diarmaid posted this weekend, but I don't take that to mean they're still together this weekend. Today is Friday, not Wednesday.
There's different possibilities of where Sam could be. Some say he could be hanging with Hayden Sylte at St. Andrews Golf Open. Others say he could be with his mom at an art thing in Edinburgh--his mom opened a new art studio.
We shall see where he is seen this weekend...
Well, that was fast-mystery solved regarding WHO on Outlander Meghan Gardler is dating! It's Irish actor, Diarmaid Murtagh, who played Buck Mackenzie on Outlander. I got a DM and Anon Ask letting me know.
And yep they follow each other on Instagram and both posted from the same places on vacation on Capri. 👇
And she visited his native, Ireland. 👇
They make a very cute couple. He's 41 and 6'4 and she's 35 and 5'11.
Anyhoo, mystery solved.
