Buck can count on one hand the number of times Owen had called him over the years and he can’t help but feel a sense of dread wash over him as answers it. The last he heard from the family, TK had called him to say that they were moving to Austin. Now, Buck wishes Owen was calling to catch up instead of calling to tell him of TK's most recent trip to the hospital.
One of the best crossovers with Lone Star! The relationship between Buck and the Strands is beautiful and you wrote both angst and humor in perfect balance.
Open the Door (and let him in) - 4k - Eddie centric
Eddie had found over the years that relationships have always been a difficult thing to navigate. Being asexual, he found them to be more complicated than they should be because it required a certain finesse that he’s not sure he possessed.
This is very beautiful and so well-written. This dive into Eddie’s thoughts was absolutely stunning and this story resonated with so many people.
The Secrets We Keep - 2k - Buddie
Eddie has never experienced a Pride festival before, and now that he's living in LA he takes the opportunity. But as much as he wanted to go without anyone finding out, luck had other plans and he happens to come across Buck who seemed just as shocked to see him as he was to see Buck.
Another beautiful fic that deals with Eddie’s asexuality. Buck and Eddie’s discussion over both their coming outs was perfect, this story is wonderful and hopeful.
