I hate this whole "Marvel vs. DC" thing. It's like comparing apples to oranges. Except DC is the orange, and DC hater bite into it whole like an apple, and then whine and complain that it doesn't taste good. Like, no shit, you didn't even bother to take the fucking skin off!

To me, it’s actually kind of like two halves of the same orange. They taste a segment from the DC half (which is in a bin labeled “orange segments”), and they’re like “Ugh, this apple is way too tart, the skin is too thick and tough, and the inside is too soft. Also it’s the wrong color”

Then, they take a segment from the Marvel bin, which is labeled “apple segments” even though it’s literally just the other half of the same exact goddamn orange, and they take a bite and they’re like “Now THIS is an apple. The flavor’s just right, the skin is juicy and delicious, and the inside is exactly the right consistency. I guess Marvel just knows how to do apples better than DC!”

Even though both companies have products that essentially offer the same things to their customers, and the main deciding factor in who likes which one is “which bin of fruit segments did I like better before I decided I wanted some fruit?”
