Dean heard Lisa say something from the stove. Rather than being, you know, intelligent and asking what she said, he decided to wing it. 

Once he pulled the green cloth away, Dean saw Lisa grinning at him, hand on her hip.

“I askedyou what you wanted with the chicken tonight. Not how I look in my new jeans.”

Dean shrugged and tossed the towel away. “I’d apologize… but you seem to appreciate it, Lise.”

Lisa scoffed. She closed the oven before striding over to him. Dean watched her, tipping his chin up as she moved closer to keep his eyes on her. She plucked the beer from his grip and placed it on the table, then sat in his lap without a word. Dean smirked, resting a hand on her hip. But she slapped it away. His grin faded in confusion. She delicately rested her hands on her own lap and blinked at him, a sweet smile on her face.

“You haven’t answered my question, Dean.”

He swallows and studied her face, looking for some weakness. “I, uh… red potatoes? If that’s what I saw in the pantry…”

Lisa’s smile widened. “Done.” She got up off his lap and pressed a kiss to his forehead before sauntering over to the pantry for the potatoes. “If you’re good, you can study my ass in these jeans later. After Ben’s gone to bed. Got it?”

Dean blinked, then looked back at her as she started to open the bag and clean some of the red bulbs. “Uh…” He processed her words, then smiled himself, reaching for his beer. “Yeah. Be good, I got it.”

He made sure not to tease her over dinner or doing the dishes. He wanted that reward. And he knew better than to cross her after promising not to.

I did not go and buy a lime green backpack. I do not use green pencils on tests for good luck. And of course my folder for my favorite class is not green.

Jenn's favorite story goes like this:One time during lecture, I was taking notes with my favorite green pen. All of a sudden, my pen died. So, Jenn says she watched as I put it back into my (lime green) backpack, but for some reason I just pulled out the pen again. She had to hold back laughing when she realized, I had bought multiple favorite green pens. >.>
