So there's something about the kitchen scene that I'm still caught on, post-kiss. It's the way Tommy is with Buck. We've had the discussion about how risky it was to kiss him and all, but once we're past the kiss and the "so that was okay?"...I get caught up on the deadpan of it all. He's not over indulging the moment, or pushing for anything. As we hear him say during the coffee date (which, lets call a spade a spade. that was a date.) that Evan already knows he's interested, and the fact that he initiates the kiss also made that clear. But the way in which he's like "I have to work, but also what're you doing this weekend"...but then also the fact that he doesn't force Buck into any kind of required date. He literally says "you still owe me that beer". which just further drives the point of him letting Buck move this whole relationship at his own pace.
idk. I know I'm rambling, but there's just something really sweet for me in all of that. because we all know what it's like to meet someone and have a thing for them and have all those butterflies and want to mentally plan everything out for the next five years (or maybe that's just me? 😂). And yet, this man who has had far more time to become comfortable in his sexuality and what he's seeking, applies no pressure. He makes it so easy (there we are with that again too 🙃) for Buck. He puts the offer out. He tells him that he'll pick him up.
I just have a lot of feelings about it all.
