Peter buying this for Bucky on his Birthday.

Maybe it started out as a gag gift. But then Bucky asks him out. And then maybe after the 3rd date they have dinner with Aunt May.

And when Aunt May asks how they got together Bucky just says "I'm Jewish" and May just nods like that explained it all.

Apparently, it runs in the family.

It's march, Bucky's birthday month! While MCU Bucky's birthday is on March 10th, 616 Bucky's birthday was believed to be on March 20, sind a birthday issue was published on that day. So it's time to celebrate comic Bucky with some Winteriron themed fanworks! Time for a BuckyBirthdayBash! The challenge:

Do some fanwork, and submit it to the collection named Comic Winteriron BuckyBirthdayBash 2021 on AO3! The fanwork should contain Tony/Bucky, or Tony&Bucky, set in any canon Comic setting, or AU based on comic settings (such as 616, Noir, Secret Wars: Civil War, Secret Wars: Planet Hulk, Bullet Points, Old Man Hawkeye/Logan AU, etc). Deadline will be April 20, so you have a full month to create something. Possible submissions: -Fanfic (at least 500 words) -Fanart (at least a sketch) -Comic edits -physical fanworks like crocheting, sewing, etc (as long as you can take a photo) -Figurine photos (at least set in a scene of some kind) -If you have other ideas that I forgot, send me an ask! as prizes: -Cute badges for everyone who submits anything. -Lottery among all participants, the prize is a black/white commission by MassiveSpaceWren (me). For Bucky's Birthday Bash, are fanart for stories which are set in comic verse allowed? Or they have to be directly connected to the comics?

Yes, fanart for stories set in comic verse is allowed! I mean, if the story is set in comic verse, then the characters are probably also inspired by comic verse, and by extension also art of the characters or situation ;) Thank you for your interest <3 I’m excited for every little entry! (and if you are still unsure if something counts as comic-based, feel free to ask and I will try to answer, but in general, it will probably count. You can also leave a creator’s note on AO3 why it counts as comic-based for you, even if it’s just a small thing. “Tony mentions xy in this one comic and I built from that idea” is just as valid as “this is set exactly in this and that arc and issue”) I hope you’ll have some fun <3
