The category of animation this year, takes eight years of existence, the winner of last year was Hayao Miyazaki “wind rose”. Other winners in past years were ribbons, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Tekkonkinkreet, Ponyo, Summer Wars, The Secret World of Arriety, From up on Poppy Hill and Ame & Yuki: The wolf children. Another categories that attract attention is the Best Foreign Film nominees are Frozen, Interstellar, Jersey Boys, Fury and Godzilla. The awards will be held on February 27 in Tokyo.
