Doug Petrie on the “Bad Girls” commentary:
There’s a scene later on where Wesley and Giles show up and there was a line that was cut where the bouncer won’t let them in [to the Bronze]. They won’t let Wesley in, and then the bouncer sees Giles and he says, ‘Oh you can [both] go in, sir, and there’s no cover charge for you.’ And they can’t understand that but then after they leave the bouncer says, ‘Did you see that? It’s David Bowie and he brought a boyfriend!’ and that got cut.
i’m never not thinking about this

Doug Petrie on the “Bad Girls” commentary:
I love this. And there’s the heart, again: lesbian subtext. But the heart with the stake through it: ‘let’s go stake some vampires in the heart.’ And yet it’s kind of this romantic image at the same time. Cause it’s almost a seduction. You know Faith is very sexy and she’s saying, ‘come play with me.’ And Faith couldn’t care less about Willow or school, and Willow is Buffy’s best friend and Faith is testing that. So again you’re in a vampire context but you’ve got this very real life friend dynamic going on.
