Uganda Floods Death Toll Rises After Heavy Rains

Death toll from the days of floods and mudslides in Uganda has claimed 36 lives and thousands are stranded after heavy rains swept across a mountainous region of Bugisu and Bundibugyo.

Ugandan red cross says search and rescue operations are hampered because most of the roads have been washed away.  The aid group has decided to set up transit shelter camps until the floods recede.

The name, "Three Avocados" was inspired by a woman living in the village of Bulopa (Uganda) who gave what little she had to feed others. Three Avocados sells Uganda Bugisu coffee, an 100% Arabica coffee grown in the mountains of Uganda.
