Just came up in an ep I'm watching. What thoughts do you have on some of the candy citizens voting for the King of Ooo?

like obviously he's just the first guy to find a foothold in their legal system to connive them and for some reason pb just kind of thinks it'll blow over. but she didn't count on her people realizing that for the first time in their lives they were being given the option to decide what can happen to them next.

like it's not that they're too dumb to see a good politician in front of their eyes or that they're so disloyal they won't even vote for the person who made their bodies with her own hands. they know she's those things. they just, oh, glob, it's their first chance to try.

if it had been ANYONE they would have tried, so long as they were doing what koo was doing -- talking to them, listening to them, making right the things they were worried about, appreciating their fears and saying he shares them. like yeah of course they wanted him. they've been told by the princess that they need to shut up and deal because she's right for hundreds of years, the princess has been exiling people and letting people die and cloning them, and here this guy threw himself at a baby's feet to apologize for hurting his family. like even just "we want someone new, anyone" aside, he seems alright right now. the princess has been in her lab for three weeks ignoring our emails.
