MORE TANGLE!
This time pixelized.
huh. i can’t remember if i ever posted this here… repost anyway
A continuation of this last post, more Sonic characters and my art related headcanons for them!
Belle, of course, considers her tinkering her artwork. I imagine making toys and such is a little unnerving rather than comforting for a while, all things considered, but eventually being able to bring happiness to other people in the way her father used to her (even if he's by all means gone now) sort of helps her to keep at it. She now highly prefers woodworking to anything with a lot of gears, though.
Lanolin strikes me as someone who sketched in a diary. Her style is very photorealistic, maybe one of those photorealistic styles that almost becomes uncanny from how much detail goes into stuff like fur.
Tikal would be really good with oil pastels. She probably would have just made 5,000 illustrations of her chao friends.
Maria had a very soft and rounded art style, which often made things look cuter than they were even if she was trying to make them look scary or angry (a thing she did try sometimes). She'd give everything dot eyes but then put a lot of little details everywhere else. It was just a few steps away from being rubberhose, being kind of a mix of that style and something like the Jetsons.
Cosmo's art style just looks like Chiikawa art style. There's no real explanation for this, I just think it's cute and it's simple enough for her to do even as a beginner. She probably gets proportions off a lot since her friends all have drastically different bodies from her. (Also, for reasons that are self explanatory she cannot draw mecha characters).
One day Kit accidentally gets paint into his hydro pack and is a little embarrassed. When he ends up using the water inside anyway, he actually gets a little curious how it leaves a mark on what he strikes. This eventually turns into a secret habit of putting watercolors in his pack to make murals in the city.
Surge uses spray paint. I think this one is the most of a given, she's too cool NOT to use spray paint.
Tangle is more of a photographer (inspired by the Tailstube art). Still, she doesn't care much about composition or anything like that — she likes to capture raw emotion (even if usually that is just her with a lot of energy).
Whisper draws with a ton of individual straight lines, sometimes not even in an order that makes sense to anyone watching her make the picture.
Sometimes Chip (Light Gaia) will make groups of flowers grow in certain patterns as a subtle wave to the people he met when his memories were gone.
Eggman used to at least design his badniks, but at this point he doesn't even do that. He just has Sage generate ideas for him because he sucks (boo him).
first time drawing Tangle

New day, new drawing.
