Digital Appropriation Art
In this artwork, I used Vincent Van Gogh's Bedroom in Arles as a background and James Whistler's Whistler's Mother as the main subject. Here you can see that the woman has a laptop and scattered papers on the floor. This can be interpreted as a student studying in her bedroom. I used Whistler's Mother because every student is like a mother who takes care of her child, or in the student's case, her grades. This artwork has an hashtag of #BuhayMC.
Every student said that they had a stressful life in school. Well, MC students can relate to that. As MC students, we want to strive for higher achievements, we always challenge ourselves to the point that it seems impossible to achieve. But of course, we did not give up. Giving up is not in the vocabulary of MC students. Yes there may be times that we will suffer from reading a 22-page article or writing multiple papers in every subject. But all of these "ayoko na" end in actual finished work.
