talking about how to properly build Anaxa because the build guides are really weird for him!
it’s always interested me that Anaxa is supposed to be a support character or subdps, when his kit suggests the opposite.
the build guide suggests action-advancing relic sets, prioritizing ult charging, crit ratio, and wind dmg. his signature light cone and eidolons seem similar, causing higher defense shred.
originally I built him as suggested by the guides, prioritizing speed and crit with a-rated relics in the recommended set. his damage output and capabilities were downright awful.
here’s why : his damage doesn’t scale off any of the recommended stats. all of his dmg multipliers are based off atk, and the talents that buff him are only buffing him (unless there are several erudition characters in the team) . he needs to be doing the damage.
his talents are showing that his own damage will increase with the weaknesses added - which stat is easy to balance with atk and massively buffs weakness break? break effect. he..he needs break effect.
this is my current build for him, he’s sitting around 2100 atk and functions incredibly as a dps. i use the free Cosmic Enterprise light cone, the kingdom of banditry relic set, and shooting meteor planar ornaments. he’s at E0 on my account.
I’d like to clarify that you can build him as a support, in which case spd and er would be helpful, but i’ve found that he won’t do much damage this way. a supportive role just doesn’t seem to unlock his full capabilities. for a subdps role, I’d say he needs a balanced ratio of break effect/atk/spd/er.
anywho, i’m insane about character building and would absolutely love to discuss more characters or answer questions !!
Do you have trouble keeping track of the stats you need for races?
Are build guides Not Helpful because you don't know how to get there?
Well do I have the set of spreadsheets for you!
Contained within this Google Drive are scorecards tailored to each Umamusume, listing out stat ranges for any given step in her career!
Is your Trainee not listed? No problem! Just check out the "Race Stats" folder, where you can view a graph of the passing stats for any given major race!
Is the race you need to win not listed? ...I'll probably get to it eventually. This page is very much still under construction.
kakania's main gimmick is her "empathy", whenever she takes damage, 10% of that damage is recorded as her empathy value.
her attack "subconscious" is then buffed based on her empathy. what it does is deals a set amount of mental damage PLUS genesis damage that is multiplied by her empathy.
so basically, the more damage kakania has taken, the stronger her attacks become.
her buff incantation "association" is a 1 target buff. if she uses it on herself, it heals her. if she uses it on another teammate, she loses some of her own hp and grants them "solace"
what solace does is increases an ally's attack by 300, and additionally increases it based on kakania's empathy value multiplied by 10.
her ultimate, "id, ego and superego" deals 400% mental damage, plus genesis damage equal to her current empathy multiplied by 1000. after using her ultimate, her empathy value resets to zero.
kakania is very good, shes able to do a good amount of damage while also taking the brunt of enemy attacks. she can also sustain herself using her buff to self-heal. one thing to keep in mind is that her normal attack and her ultimate are both single target attacks.
her insight abilities are also worth mentioning. at insight 1 she has what is essentially a taunt. she directs half of the damage that allies would take towards herself instead. this works well for her because of her self heal ability.
at insight 2 she gets +5% max hp. this is helpful because empathy can only store damage up to 20% of her max hp.
her insight 3 ability is insanely useful. whenever empathy records damage equal to 3% of her max hp, she heals all allies equal to 10% of her max hp. in addition, when healing is done, she also deals genesis damage to all enemies equal to her current empathy x100.
basically, she's a tank, but she can also be versatile and fairly easily fill the roles of healer or dps depending on which psychube she has (more on that below). she's really good for team survivability, especially at insight 3 when she can heal other allies. you don't have to worry too much about draining her own hp, but if you are concerned with that you can add another healer to the team.
as for psychubes, of course her signature "the fighter's best wishes" is her best one. if her hp is under a certain hp percentage (exact amount depends on psychube level) she takes decreased damage and gains a genesis damage boost.
if you want to use her as more of a healer, you can give her vila's psychube "dawn is coming". and what this one does is that whenever she casts a single target buff (for kakania, this is "association") she will heal the ally with the lowest hp percentage by a certain amount scaled on her attack.
"beyond wonderland" is also decent for her, this one's effect is that it increases healing rate whenever the holder uses a debuff type incantaion. kakania does not have a debuff incantation, so she doesnt benefit from that part of it, but she does benefit from the increased crit rate this psychube will also give her. (up to 21% increase at max level)
so, is kakania worth it?
if you're lacking plant characters, or even if you're not, i say yes. her versatility makes her easily adaptable and she can work with many different team comps. she can buff, self heal, and her attack power is nothing to sneeze at. genesis damage is an amazing advantage to have as well.
i don't even have her on my personal account, but my boyfriend does on his account and i've used her, and let me tell you she is an amazing and useful addition to any team lineup.
Here is a guide on how to make him into your player character or guardian.
->New Guide here that includes mod suggestions!
To start with I made sure that all his stats were at least 10 in everything like his original. According to the Wiki Dammon is an Asmodeus Tiefling.
For the extra points left over, I put them into upping his Dexterity (as it helps with dodging damage), the main stat for his class (in this case Wisdom for a Druid), and a bit in Charisma just to make conversation rolls a bit easier. For background, I went with Guild Artisan to further help him with persuasion, give him some insight, and for roleplaying purposes since he was a blacksmith. For cantrips, I would highly recommend picking Guidance to further aid all conversation rolls.
For Class, I went with Druid because it lets him wield a scimitar right at the start. On the Nautolid you can usually find two of these weapons. The second reason is maybe being at the grove rubbed off on him a little. He did after all pick up a few skills while in Avernus why not at the Druid Grove too? The third reason, your doppelganger gets a discount from Arron the other merchant to be found there. But of course, you can make him any other class you wish or multi-class him. I did so myself by adding dragon sorcerer and bard to him later on. (I am tempted to try and get the Jack-of-all-Trades achievement with him.)
When it comes to his eyes there is a slight hiccup. They are currently only unique to Dammon. The closest we can get to them is Blue 3. I vaguely recalled that if one was a tiefling in Early Access even if one were to pick the more human/elven eye colors they would still have a slight glow to them. This is currently not the case as of launch and I'm not aware if there are any mods out that can give us the proper eyes. :
Actually, after some thought, another color might be better than Blue 3 called Sapphire 4 as it's a little more intense.
For make-up, I don't think Dammon wears any but I did add a subtle amount to try to make his eyes stand out a little more and added the tinest amount of color and gloss to his lips. So the following is optional. Personally, I find that particular eyeshadow comes in handy for guys overall at a 10 or 20 intensity level to make their eyes look a little deeper set and um... more broody?
For the hair, you may want to experiment with the red highlight. I don't think I got the color spot on. Below, I outlined other possibilities. On a darker red you may want to go higher in intensity than just 60.
The horns I also worry I made a touch lighter than Dammon's but if you go with a Dusty 6 or 7 that might correct the minor difference.
Below is a final side-by-side comparison in the same lighting. Again, you might wish to experiment and go with a slightly darker red for the red hair highlight and the same with the horns. Also, the dyes I end up using for his gear are Swamp Green or Green to complement his original outfit colors.
Enjoy!
And Special thanks to @deir-emmett for coming up with the guide for the Dammon Dream Visitor available here.
