Progress so far on thr Mimikyu build kit i textured and repainted! I've never done a full textured piece like this before. Used swveral layers of modge podge and cheese cloth to get the textile effect. Im slowly adding some more layers of modge podge on top of my paints job to revive the textile effect as well and touch up some unsightly areas as well.
This was a lot harder than I thought it was gonna be, mostly cuz my dumbass thought itd be fun to paint this w gouache and watercolor paints as a nod to Ken Sugimori's OG watercolor pieces back in the day. I referenced my old Tommy pokemon figurines (pikachu and raichu specifically) for the colors and i really wanted it to look like a crusty ass fabric monster. Hope yall like it, still needs some work, might dremel in it to give it some holes. Not sure if I wanna do that but could be fun!
A video of what I got so far! Maybe I might plastic epoxy the seam lines another time, but i'm currently out of plastic epoxy... so might just say fuck it for this one tbh

Finished building Windblade! Had to give my girl the superhero landing pose since the model was so posable once finished!
Working on this Mimikyu kit to make it look textured and not look like a boring piece of plastic I epoxied, sanded, and primed.
Where im at currently: aprox 6 layers and two pieces of gunked up cheese cloth. Hoping my paints dont melt thru this, and if they do, I'll be sad, but I have some backup plans just in case. Hope yall stick around for some more build kit progress!
Gundam build kits
I've got a few Gundam build kits coming tomorrow that I'll be posting pictures of. One of them is 1/144 high grade Try Burning Gundam! I'm so excited XD
You see, I got my Roll build kit figure today, and I put her together, and after doing that I realized how much of a cutie she is.
