Low Stakes, Low Faith, But I Will Wait (I Will Wait)- BullRoe secret santa gift for lazicalm <3
Fic Notes (Rated M juuust to be safe): usual violence + injury description, references to PTSD and other mental health conditions, some steam but nothing explicit, backround ship(s), shameless use of ethel cain songs, angry gene roe, bull randleman being Down Bad, egregious use of many metaphors
-----
The medic's slow Louisiana drawl is like poetry to Bull. Its verbal punctuation was familiar, comforting, and so, so addictive. Bull reckons he could listen to the man talk for hours without his fondness for the calm, sing-songy tone dulling one bit. Him, and half the damn company probably. That's all it is, Bull chastises himself, he's just doing his damn job, Randleman.
"Time for a complaint, I think," Denver states, faux-serious.
The chuckle he gets for that is life changing.

The shirt touches his neck
and smooths over his back.
It slides down his sides.
It even goes down below his belt—
down into his pants.
Lucky shirt.
