Luhan had always considered himself weak in comparison to everyone that surrounded him. And it made sense, taking into consideration the fact that he was small, and skinny, and he didn’t speak too loud, and he didn’t seem the kind of guy that would actually stand up by himself. He was delicate looking, very femine and childish-like, and he knew it and understood it and even embraced it at times. But he couldn’t fully understand why did people seemed to enjoy throwing snowballs at him.
He was happily walking towards a bench because the weather was beautiful and because there weren’t as many people playing with the snow as the past couple of days. And he was feeling like reading outside while enjoying the cold air and the sweet music of his iPod.
But of course, he is an easy target, he supposes.
Right when he had discovered that comfortable spot on the bench and when his music was playing and when his fingers were caressing the pages of his open book, he felt something hitting him on the chest, and then some white, cold material falling onto the pages of his book. It took him around three seconds to realize what that was, and he actually shouted a loud what the fuck before looking up.
Bad decision.
Another snowball hit him, only that this time, it was on the face. And then two more snowballs followed that one, hitting him on the head and on the shoulder. He gasped and stood up from his seat, the remaining pieces of what once was a snowball fell onto the white floor. He whimpered when another snowball hit him right on the thigh, and he looked up to see a cat-eyed male that was hiding behind a tree, with a devilish smirk on his lips and a hand already holding another snowball.
"Dude—- How the fuck do you grab so many snowballs at the same time—-" He squealed, hearing the other male bursting out into laughter before throwing another snowball at Luhan. And since Luhan had terrible reflexes, he couldn’t ditch it. "Key—-! Stop!" He whimpered, feeling another snowball hitting him on the neck.
He sighed in exasperation and leaned down to grab a handfull of snow. He wasn’t sure if Kibum would get mad at him if he threw a snowball at him (he had learnt that the younger had a very delicate tolerance), but he reassured himself by the thought of him starting it.
He threw a snowball at Kibum, and it hit him right on the forehead. He heard the other gasp something like “oh my gay" before glaring at him. Luhan gulped quietly, and received another smack by another snowball, and then he heard Kibum laughing. Luhan chuckled under his breath and decided to join Kibum’s game.
And soon, the two of them were in some kind of Call of Duty scene, throwing snowballs at each other, hiding and laughing real hard.
The amount of snowstorms that Luhan had gone through in the past couple of days was unbelieveable. He wasn’t use to see that many snow from where he came from, but he wasn’t complaining either. Since he enjoyed snow and watching snowflakes fall was so soothing and entertaining that he could possibly write a book about them.
Luhan was having his usual walks in the middle of snowstorms— That’s something he actually enjoyed doing. He was listening to his favorite music was the cold wind basically slapped his entire body and pulled him back, but he still kept going. He was singing, his voice being muffled because of the scarf that he had around his neck, and he would probably be swinging his arms through the air if it wasn’t because he was not wearing any gloves and he could barely feel his fingers. But he enjoyed being out there, indeed.
He was moving side to side, trying to do stuff in order to keep himself warm under all his coats. The sun was no longer out, and that only made the air feel colder than before. The school was slowly starting to turn on all the lights they had outside, and no one was out anymore since only someone as mad as Luhan would actually enjoy walking in the middle of a storm.
He was happily dancing and singing to his favorite song while walking against the strong cold wind that kept pulling his thin body backwards when he saw from the distance a shadow. He jumped, slightly startled, as he noticed that the shadow kept moving side to side. Luhan frowned and pulled off his earphones as he walked towards the origin of the shadow. It was obvious that the person was standing under a light bulb. Nonetheless, in Luhan’s head, this person could be a serial killer that managed his way into the school and he was that typical unlucky girl that died at the beggining of the movie because she wasn’t clever enough.
"Excuse me," he heard the person speak. Luhan squealed, since he hadn’t noticed that the guy was really close to him. He was a guy he had never seen before around school, and he was certainly not korean, either. His pale white skin was almost as white as the snowflakes that were falling around them, and his brown hair was ruffled with strength by the air. He was obviously trembling, and his lips were dry and pale. He had probably been there for quite some time.
"Yeah, what’s wrong?" Luhan asked, taking some steps towards the guy. It didn’t take long for Luhan to understand that the guy was probably lost, and because of the thickness of the snow and the strength of the wind, he probably had no idea of where to go or where the dorms where at. "Are you from here?" He asked and the guy nodded while trembling. Luhan nodded and held his hand, gently pulling him so they could start walking towards the dorms.
He noticed that this crazy white boy had nothing on but just a jacket and maybe a long sleeve shirt under that jacket. Luhan quickly took off his scar and he wrapped it around the male’s neck, making sure to cover his chest with it and then he took off his hat and he put it on the other’s head. His ears were probably blue by then, so he might as well try something to heat them up.
They were quite away from the dorms buildings, but Luhan tried his hardest to get there the quickest possible. It took them around six minutes to get there, and when they were finally there, Luhan took him to his dorm after he had told him his dorm’s number.
Once there, Luhan shook his head to the sides so that the snow in his hair would fall off, and he gave the stranger a wide smile. “I’m Luhan, by the way. My dorm is the 2B, and if you ever need anything, just knock on my door, yeah?” He said and cleared his throat, nodding his head. “You can keep those until you’re warmed up. Take a hot shower so you won’t get sick…. And… Yeah. You have pretty eyes,” he said with a quick childish smile before bowing a bit. “See ya later," he said in english with a thick accent. He laughed and waved, finally leaving the stranger so he could do his stuff.
Snow meant fun for everyone, no matter how old they were. For the adults maybe it was a bit more of a pain in the ass because they had to clear their front yards, and they had to look after their children in order for them to not get sick. But for everyone else, it meant fun. And of course, the people at this school got way too excited with the whole snow thing. Luhan even heard they built some kind of snowball battling arena?
Luhan, on the other hand, and unlike many people around his age, didn’t like snowballs. It was a nice way to hit someone with something without it being too serious. And even though he didn’t know if the battling arena was a real thing or not, he didn’t want to go out of his room just to be safe. But he wanted some coffee. And he didn’t have any at his room. And the only place where he could find some, was at the cafeteria that was, of course, outside of his room.
So he eventually got dressed and walked outside of his room and outside of the boys dorm, and he saw everyone making snow angels or building a snowman or throwing snowballs at each other. He sighed and tried to ignore the noises of the people near him getting smacked by a snowball. Maybe if he ignored them, he would be ignored as well.
He was just a couple of steps away from the cafeteria when he felt someone calling out his name. His natural reaction was to turn around to see who that person that was calling him was and what did he want. But the exact moment he turned around,
a fucking snowball was thrown at him and it hit him right on his face.
He felt the cold, round piece of shti smack against his warm face and immediately slide down to his chin and neck. He couldn’t even gasp, and he didn’t even open his eyes. He just heard Daehyun’s laugther (he knew it was Daehyun’s because he had heard it before and it was quite… Unique). He opened his eyes and saw the other male, laughing his ass off as he probably kept repeating the image of Luhan getting a fucking snowball smacked against his face.
He grinned, his left eye slightly twitching as he slowly bent down and filled one of his hands with snow, the other pressing against it as he shaped it into a beautiful ball. He walked closer Daehyun and threw it at him, hitting him on the neck. And Daehyun threw one back at him, And Luhan did the same.
And that was the day Luhan started liking throwing snowballs at people.
〷 - A drabble about our characters shopping for presents
Luhan was next to Daehyun while the latter was picking some gifts for God knows who, and even though Luhan was talking about irrelevant things like the usual life of a light bulb or about how was Santa Claus created and even though Daehyun was most likely not listening, they were still next to each other. But mainly because Luhan wouldn’t leave.
Luhan was shopping all by himself, not having a clue of what to get to any of the people he knew and wondering if he should go around giving random gifts to people when he spotted a familiar guy walking alone through the same shop. So Luhan felt like he needed to go to the other and say hi, but he ended up following the other and asking him a whole bunch of stupid questions.
"Daehyun, what would your perfect Christmas gift be?" He asked as the other kept picking up shirts, unfolding them, looking at them, and then tossing them away carelessly while he repeated the cycle. Luhan would fix the shirts as he spoke. "I think you’d deffinitely go for something related to kinky things. Like handcuffs or chains," he continued speaking.
"Or maybe some heels— I remember you said something about walking in heels and stuff," he said and followed the other as he kept searching for shirts. "Or a stripper pole?" He asked. The other snorted, and Luhan tilted his head to the side with curiousity. "Do you really want a stripper pole, Daehyun-ah?" He asked.
The one-sided conversation kept going as Daehyun only made some noises every once in a while to show that he was listening to the chinese, but Luhan didn’t really noticed those small noises. He was too busy telling Daehyun how much his mother liked flowers and asking him if he should get her some exotic flowers for Christmas.
After around five hours of Luhan following Daehyun in and out of stores, Daehyun apparently got what he was looking for (aside from some kind of weird sexual stuff— nipple things that looked like candies and lingerie and a whip with cute patterns on it— even though he said it was his gift to himself), and Luhan did too.
Luhan handed Daehyun a box he had bought while the other was looking for some things with a smile on his face. “In case I don’t see you by Christmas—- Have a nice day!” He eagerly said before waving and running off. The box was filled with scented lube, flavored condoms and some sex toys, with a pink buttplug and a note that said: “BE SAFE AND HAVE FUN ♥ MERRY CHRISTMAS” and some ugly as fuck drawing of a raindeer on a stripper pole.
With a lot of struggle, the two young men were able to make it to the nearest building, which wasn’t certainly the boys dorms, but some building with emtpy classrooms that was incredibly warm because of the heating system. Luhan panted heavily as he slid down a wall, his eyes fixed on the younger boy that slid down next to him. He smiled and ruffled his hair a bit, a lot of snow falling from his head and into the floor.
"Let’s wait in here for a bit before we head to the dorms, yeah?" Luhan said with a grin on his lips. Running from this building to the dorms will probably be a challenge, and even though he was really tempted to suggest sleeping there in the floor, he knew Sungjong had to go home and take a hot shower or something before he actually caught some disease or something like that. He sighed and cleared his throat. "Now, Sungjong. What the fuck where you doing out there, ah?"
