replies are restricted in your magical girl post but as someone who checks the "magical girl" tag a lot, i can say that you're probably looking for tokusatsu hero shows like super sentai and kamen rider! some of the biggest magical girl media like sailor moon and precure were heavily inspired by these shows, but they're aimed towards boys so they're not as aesthetically feminine. try checking out kamen rider w, kamen rider fourze, or ressha sentai toqger! or for non-toku, try revue starlight!

I've been checking out stuff like Kamen Rider and Garo but it's not what I'm looking for in terms of butch/tomboy magical girl. The full body suit + full helmet thing is an entirely different vibe than what magical girl's have going on.

I like the fancy costume thing magical girls have going on I'd just rather leather, spikes, and baseball caps to dresses, lace, and bows.

And there is magical boy stuff too. It's just most of what I've seen has the same issues with being very feminine and not the kind of costume designs I wanna see.

if touma had a pokemon, the obvious choice would be charizard, but I'm sick of charizard getting the spotlight so I like to imagine him having a lil dratini as a kid that evolves into a dragonite. it's shaped like a friend and cuddles up to kids during storytime :-)

I actually hadn't been thinking Charizard for Touma, because I think Haruto would have a Charizard and I'm trying not to duplicate anyone. Absolutely agreed on Dratini -> Dragonair -> Dragonite, and I also think he has a Meowth that knows how to run the counter at the bookshop and is all the time falling asleep on his hats.

Just out of curiosity, do you ever play TTRPG systems/games other than D&D? I ADORE the art you make of your D&D characters (they're all so imaginative and wonderful!!!) and it seems like you have such a fun time! I guess I'm wondering if you prefer exploring different systems for different methods of storytelling or staying in the D&D system so you can get creative with a system you're familiar with~

mostly i just play dnd since i already know the rules and that makes it easier for me to feel comfortable/be creative/have fun! 

we also have a boardgame cafe here and sometimes i go there with friends and play other games, and i’ve wanted to play monster of the week but every time we try something gets in the way. i also have a friend who’s working on her own game system that she wants me and my wife and some friends to play test at some point.
