just barely started reading hold my life (until i’m ready to use it) by velvet_shiver and it’s already one of the greatest fics i’ve ever read, no exaggeration. it’s written so beautifully and i’m so in love with mikes characterization, it’s devastating.

I find the table scene so interesting because it's the first time we see Eren and Armin kinda act like each other. Eren comes and asks for a peaceful conversation (something Armin usually does) and then mixes truth & lies to accuse both Armin and Mikasa of not acting according to their free will, which also mirrors how Armin manipulated his enemies back in s1 and s2. Then we have Armin crawling over the table to punch Eren because of how angry he was with him. It's the first time we ever see him take such violent initiative in person against someone. It mirrors Eren's violent personality. Eren has always used violence as the only form of payback. And it's really beautiful that Eren is the only person that was able to make Armin act in this way.
