Have you ever heard of Unitarian Universalism? From your post on Asatru, it seems like a religion you might be interested in. It branched off from Christianity, but it developed into its own thing. I love it because you don't need to believe in a god (my beliefs are pretty similar to yours), its members have been involved in civil rights activism for centuries, and it celebrates the mysteries of life, encouraging people to find their own path. You might like it!

Yeah, I have, and it’s fine. It just doesn’t appeal to me personally. I’m going to reveal my douchey side for a second to admit that it always felt to me like an embassy for expatriate Christians that couldn’t quite bring themselves to quit the religion of their upbringing cold turkey. I mean, I have no judgement in my heart for anyone in the Unitarian community, it just doesn’t jive for me.

I'm pretty sure you know this already, but in case you don't: if you complete a No Mercy run, it literally taints your files unless you go into the game's code and reset it. You won't be able to get the proper True Pacifist ending if you do it after a No Mercy run.

I have been told! Several very nice people who clearly do not want me to fuck up my own game with my murdering ways have warned that if I’m going to do the no mercy/kill em all run, I should leave that to last.

Which actually seems just a wee bit sadistic, leaving that particular run as the final timeline. Give the character their happy ending, and the destroy it all?

God, I both hate and love that.

Although now I’m curious: I’m currently on the No Mercy run right now, but I do plan on sparing Papyrus. As in, he will be the sole survivor. Will that keep me on No Mercy, which I don’t want, or will I get one of the more Neutral endings?

to be clear, i still wish kairi was included, but that may be another excuse given to not include her except when absolutely necessary :/

OH! her side story could have been persuading her parent, the mayor, that she is capable of taking care of herself by fending off any heartless left on the islands. so the training levels are all versions of some abilities Sora and Riku can do, plus her own. 

how is she learning? Mickey and Minnie(yes Minnie) have been sending her tips but she’s always been doing some sort of training (as Nomura does call her the strongest of the island kids after Sora and Riku leave) so it’s a self-learning/teaching assistance combo that gets her up to speed. no hyperbolic chamber needed!

I thought that the reason why Kairi didn't appear in DDD was that she was training with her keyblade?????? idk i mean Axel was doing the same thing and he still appeared (probably bc he's such a fan-favorite) but that's another possibility

i’d like to think that was the case! (though it’d be nice if it were in the text like Axel’s was) 

but idk...Riku seemed surprised that Yen Sid even called upon Kairi to inquire about her abilities. why would he be like that if he a)knew she was capable of wielding the keyblade and b)knew that she was training? so yeah i hope she was doing some secret training of her own, but it kinda makes me grumble that her’s has to be a secret at all : /
