I was only thoerizing before however this was quite unexpected. We all know Venti is the anemo archon and Mihoyo hinted some bond between Xiao and Venti in one of their videos. To be honest, I had no clue other than they are both short anemo green boys xP But this is alot deeper.

This is Venti's message to Xiao that he's wishing him happiness even though he may not believe it. When we ask Xiao about his Vision he simply replies that he has no desire which means he doesn't want to get his hopes up. Though, one of his idle animations reveal how he was trying to touch a firefly until it flew away now proves to be...very symbolic.

Xiao tries to give up the possibility for a brighter future but deep down, he really yearns for it.
