I almost debated not putting this addendum up. But I figured that if nothing else it'd cheer up those who've been having a hard time of moods and games. (Looking at you, roseoftheoakmoonsims and also whitsims.)
When I moved Borealis into the house, Scotty was still mid-salute. And the instant he landed, they broke it off, and... well... heart farts and the little do-do-da-da-da da da daaaaaa.
Then Calfuray wandered over to Borealis to brighten his day, as aforepictured, and then they did the heart fart thing too. "I don't care what anyone else says, I think you're hot!"
I mean, StoryProgression and therefore the sexuality tuning mods are not actually on in this save, because it's a photoshoot and testing ground save. So I get why. It's just funny to me because either A) the mere act of Borealis walking onto the building has turned things sufficiently non-heternormative...
or B) two of the Ephie-rejected bachelors have always had a back-up plan. ;)

For the record, I do hope to manage a couple of posts in the next week. But it will get quiet around here after that. :D

That much travel is usually a bit stressful as you go from place to place. But once we arrive, it should be good.

Let me know what you think about the one you have a copy of. Though it still does need a bit of a tooth clean before I submit to publishers.

We'll be seeing lots of family and friends, which is always good.
I startle a fair few people with the idea that I do write novels. But I find it fun and I like fantasy so there you go.

Thanks to the results of last night's Polaris BC elimination, Scotty Wright was put up for download, meaning that I could put him in game for the first time alongside Xerxes (who was downloadable from the beginning) and Calfuray (my own sim). The first two pictures are him without the custom skin and hair; the other two are from when I caved and got them.
If I'm honest, I was caught pretty off guard by his trait selection. He has things in common with Pax (Party Animal) and Calfuray (Good) both, as well as Social Butterfly, and yet I don't recall the three ever finding reason to hang out. Scotty seemed more inclined to hang with Xerxes, and Calfuray prefers Altair. (Pax, IDK man. He's an enigma.)
Oh, and my game had him autonomously salute to Xerxes. Because it said he graduated from military school. For... some reason.
Oh oh, and I've decided to just make a save game for my photoshoots in Monte Vista, because it saves me the trouble of loading a new game every time I want to get photo ops.

Replies to Sims and Gender Preference (or why it’s hard work to have bi Sims)
simvim said: I can stand that. It just perpetuates bisexual erasure, doesn’t it? How frustrating of EA.
To be honest, I think highly of the fact that EA has allowed gay Sims quite freely. I didn't expect that and was surprised to hit that fact in the forums for Sims 2.
But yes, it does mean that bisexual is frustrating. At least it is possible to have bi Sims. I've even done it without the help of MasterController but it is a LOT of work that way. Poor Sammy was horribly confused by the experience - he kept flipping wants back and forth between his girlfriend and his boyfriend. The boyfriend Thomas was naturally flirty and a little better at having both a boyfriend and a girlfirend.
aminovas said: I can’t help but notice this model of gender preference resembles stereotypes of non-heterosexuality. As if having one relationship with a person of the same gender suddenly makes you gay. Lots of people think that is how it actually works.
I can understand why successful romance with one gender makes a Sim prefer that one just a little more for next time. But I seriously don't get why it would decrease attraction for the other - or at least not every last time.

The game doesn't make it obvious but with tools like Nraas Mastercontroller, you can watch it happen.
