Hi! Do any of you awesome mods know some good, preferable cheaper, stim toys for someone with a huge special interest in Batman? Store bought or DIY would be great!
This one is tough, Iāll admit, but Iāve got a couple of things for you!
Youāre probably aware of the vast number of Batman fidget spinners out there, but Iāll mention them anyway. Hereās a search on Etsy you might want to check out, and hereās a search on eBay. (Thereās inexpensive listings: $0.99 USD with free shipping from China, Hong Kong or Taiwan.) Iāve even seen the simpler logo ones in my local dollar shops - hereās my review on one of them. Thereās now a variety of case shapes, especially for custom-made 3D printed spinners, so youāve got your pick of logo styles and colours if shopping online.
(Note that I donāt like mine as much as my tri-shaped spinners; theyāre just not as balanced as well, in my opinion. But I might have ended up with a couple of poor spinners.)
You also might have seen the Batman logo chewables weāve recently featured a couple of times. The teether is listed on Storenvy for $7 USD (only available in the US and territories) and on Bumkins for $6.95 USD (ships to Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and the USA) in black and purple. The chew pendant is listed on Bumkins for $12.95 USD, also in black and purple, and on the Mighty Ape for $34.99 AUD.
(I know this last listing is not cheap. I donāt know whatās up with that price, either!)
Thereās Batman plush zip pouches (very soft and stimmy, similar to the one Iāve reviewed here) on eBay for very low prices. Most are the yellow logo on black. This listing (option #7) has them for $0.99 USD, free shipping from China/Hong Kong/Taiwan. This listing (option W58) also has them for the same price and shipping. Or thereās a black logo on yellow pouch for $2.72 USD, free shipping from China. These pouches are great for storing toys like spinners and Tangles, but I donāt recommend them for chewables.
If youāre able to manage a few basic sewing stitches, you could sew this felt Batman logo plushie. It would be easy to attach to a keyring for stroking and squishing, and you could stuff it with plastic pellets for weight or torn-up plastic shopping bags for rustle and scrunch.
(Link goes to video with loud music. No transcript or descriptions, but also no voice over: all text is provided on screen in the video.)
Iāve also got a tutorial for a Batman pillow which could be made weighted. Or you can just make it from super soft fleece and minky fabrics for stroking.
(Link goes to a turorial page with a video. Voice over on video, auto-generated closed captions available.)
Lastly, Iāve grabbed a Pinterest link featuring bunch of superhero logos, including a few variations of the Batman logo. Why? Well, you could print it on paper and glue it on a glitter jar (and fill the jar with black, yellow and purple glitter). Or you could use the design to make a paper stencil and paint the design on said jar.
I hope that helps with a few options, at least. Some of the themed approaches are more challenging than others, but like every other so far, thereās been more than I thought possible once I got my brain into searching mode!
Does anyone have any suggestions for cool ideas Iāve forgotten or donāt know about? Please let us know!
