I am fairly new to this, but what is AHOT6? What does it stand for? (sorry if this sounds a bit noob-ish)

ah ot6 stands for achievement hunter ot6 (which is a derivation of otp/one true pairing or ot3/one true threesome, so this would be one true sixsome in practice, haha), and is the blanket term for any stories involving achievement hunter* in a polyamorous relationship together. in other words, where you would normally have a story focusing on one particular pairing like mavin or r&r connection, ah ot6 emphasizes free love between the six of them together as one big lovey nerd conglomerate. does that make sense?

a lot of people really enjoy the ship because of the way it takes a more relationship-oriented spin on their office dynamic, so many of the stories highlight all the cute little features of their rapport with one another as a unit instead of relationships (platonic or romantic) as they exist one-on-one. and besides, why would one of the boys keep another all to themselves when they could offer them five times the love, right? i definitely recommend looking into it, because it’s a ship you won’t know how much you love until you’re already in too deep (no, seriously), and there are a ton of really amazing authors that have published ah ot6 stories worth seeking out. i hope this is useful!

*the term ah ot6 implies the original six members of achievement hunter, being geoff, jack, michael, gavin, ray, and ryan, but i’d be interested to see if any ot9 stories begin to circulate..

One of the funniest things about you reblogging "Warm" (besides me looking up from Doctor Who to see my phone having an alerts conniption) is that you were the very first person to reblog that story when I first posted it (and one of the first notes on it!). Funny how things happen.

Ahh... I dunno, I just got that kinda "Hunger Games" reality show vibe from it, I guess? Nah, don't feel like a dick, it's your idea in the first place, I'm just leeching off it, haha.

Ah... I getcha. This whole thing has been far more 'visual' in my head than I can describe. Like most of the colors in the fic have been muted, the saturation lowered, the lights always dark as it barely filters through the shutters on the windows. 

It's a lot darker in my head.

Reading quick notes is like reading a foreign language that you sort of learned, haha. I had the idea that maybe Gavin and Joel are competing on some sort of reality show to win themselves better lives (with the ultimate prize being freedom or something), so every aspect of their lives is monitored and controlled. They compete in contests for perks (like a nicer place to live) and then Michael and Ray are one of the perks they win (possibly contestants from other shows who were eliminated).

I wouldn't call it a reality show though, because this shit is seriously underground, but the competition sense works. 

and Michael and Ray were Prizes from the start.
