Cloud On My Tongue - Someone no longer in your muse’s life who still affects them

Alice’s parents have been dead since she was in her early teens, but she still thinks about them almost every day. Both of them, her dad especially, fostered her love of storytelling and she can’t sit down to write without remembering that. She also thinks, often, about how hopeful her mom was in spite of her grief after Alice’s dad died; that’s something Alice really admired at the time, and still admires now, and wants to emulate even though she tends naturally more toward pessimism.

♤ Has your muse developed to be different from their canon selves through roleplay?

through roleplay? nnnot. really, mainly bc i’ve had this blog for all of five minutes. writing her in general though!! yes, ah, alice does not have a whole lot of backstory in canon like pretty much all we know about her life leading up to the show is 1. she has three younger siblings and 2. something bad happened when she was a kid that led to her kind of taking care of those three siblings so!! 

the majority of her bio is headcanons that have come about as a result of me planning & writing a very long and self-indulgent series of fanfictions (of which alice is not actually the protagonist—they’re mainly about hatter, and alice is actually kind of a secondary antagonist for the first couple installments. oops?)

✎ What do you wish the author would reveal/had revealed about your muse?

oh this one is. actually kind of tricky because i? frankly am very happy with the amount of information the musical gives us about alice. like. her characterization in the show itself is, i think, extremely rich and nuanced for the medium of musical theatre, especially if you start taking into account things from earlier iterations of the show?

i guess the one thing i’d most like to know is what exactly happened to interrupt alice’s childhood, really. we know it was something very bad and given the comment about having to take care of her siblings i think it’s safe to assume that it? had something to do with one or both of alice’s parents but?? did they die? did they get divorced? did they leave? what?? happened??? to my baby????
