Down the rabbit hole again-

Real quick design stuff since I already talked about (young) Alix's personality. I like her hair a lot, it's slightly longer on her right side and that carries over to her adult self. (Adult) Alix is wearing a Viperion themed jacket because she and him both have time miraculous. I think I need to tweek the ears in later designs to make them thinner and the base, but what's done is done. Timebreaker is nearly the same, just a few more lines to add Pizzazz *jazz hands*

Okay so I stand by the idea that the rabbit and snake miraculous are too overpowered. They feel too strong, so they need a significant drawback. I didn't mention the snakes until now as to keep this secret.

First change and the most minor. The burrow can only take you through time, not space. You will step out exactly where you stepped in, just not when. Once Burrow has been activated (young) Alix can only go through one time jump before fluff needs to recharge. (Adult) Bunnis can jump multiple times but it's always to the same place she entered unless she moves outside of it. They can't just hop around willy-nilly.

Big Change! The rabbit miraculous is only capable of viewing the timestream/timelines. If (Adult) Bunnix tries to change things herself, it will cause the timeline to collapse. The most she can do is bring other miraculous holders into help. But if they have too much foreknowledge something similar will happen. This is why she can't bring (Adult) Mari and Adrien to help their younger selves. As a result, timetagger will be very different.

The rabbit holder only ages outside the burrow, so (Adult) Bunnix is much older than she appears. She does meet (young) Alix because she remembers it happening and know it won't destroy the timeline. But she imparts to both Ladybug and (Young) Alix to not give her the miraculous until everything is over and she's sure she's ready.

Whes Alix first got the rabbit she didn't listen to Fluff's warning and wiped out an entire timeline by tying to stop Hawkmoth early. She also confirms that this is what the wish does, and it's BAD. When one timeline gets broken it can sometimes damage the others around it.

Adult Alix has seen timelines die, and watched hundreds more suffer because she couldn't intervene to save them. Needless to say she's not doing well. And she desperately wants her younger self not to make her mistakes. But as the destined Rabbit holder, she knows its inevitably going to happen again. The rabbit miraculous is not in control of time, it's more trapped by it than anything else.

There is only one Rabbit Miraculous holder across the multiverse. Most of the older ones did not belong to this world, hence why little to nothing is known about them.

Similarly the Snake miraculous has a nerf. The holder is able to go back 5 minutes. But it's just that, it's that holder. So their body still ages as normal. As a result, after Adrien spent 3 months as Aspik- he came out 3 months older. This is also why Marinette and Adrien are so apprehensive to hand out the snake miraculous.

Luka can usually do it in only a few tries but they're still terrified of those numbers adding up. Which is why Viperion only come out when they really can't risk NOT bringing him.

Adult bunnix redesign. I don’t have a problem with the original design, I actually quite like it but I played around with it a bit for fun and I’m pretty happy with this as a redesign.

Hi I draw Miraculous Ladybug redesigns sometimes

Sorry for the long art absence, a bitch has been busy. But I managed to squeeze finishing my Alix rework into it! She was in desperate need of a refresh.

I’ve said it before, but all of Alix’s hero looks suck. They just keep forgetting who she even is and just put her in generic placeholder looking suits. So I had some fun with her.

I also did my first Alix redesign before Evolution happened and we got subjected to that ugly Canigirl design. This new Canigirl is based on a spotted Dachshund because he hu she smol

And King Cobra? I mentioned a while back that Alix’s snake sleeves gave me the impression she’d get the snake, and that it would be neat to see. So I did it.

Canigirl doesn’t happen in the reboot/rewrite, but King Cobra does (she takes Adrien’s role in Desperada).

I’m currently working on some proper reworks of the main five heroes, keep an eye out for them!

Young bunnix redesign. I changed very little since I think the original is pretty solid. A gave her skates with rabbit foot designs, lengthened the white parts on her legs and removed the pockets on the front replacing them with the dot design on her sides. Adult bunnix will have more changes to her design though the canon one is also pretty adorable.

I’m gonna be gone for about a week, so here’s some Alix WIPs for you guys to chew on.

A Bunnix and Alix redo, a Canigirl redesign because canon failed her again, and a snake Alix attempt. I know, the bitch who keeps complaining about the skin tight suit puts someone in a skin tight suit?

I’ll make a proper post explaining my feelings about it later, but I want it to be made clear that the skin tights suits aren’t the problem. It’s the fact that ALL the girls are in them, with no variety, when it doesn’t match their personality or the animal they represent. 

I see the snake as an example of an animal that should be represented by a skin-tight suit. It makes sense. Snakes are smooth! So I think the design has its place, just needs to be done better.

I mentioned a while back that it would be cool to see Alix with the snake, so if canon won’t do it I will!

They’re still WIPs, stuff is guaranteed to change. It’s a good design exercise, doing a single character with multiple Miraculous, exploring what facets of their personality shine more depending on the context.

Rose/Pigella Rose was done so dirty by the 3D and the colours in this show. They really did pick the ugliest pink to put her in, didn’t they?

I’m sure you’re wondering “why is a character named ROSE in blue?”, glad you asked. Colour is a pretty handy tool for visual storytelling, and I’ve been using it for these redesigns. Most notably with Adrien and Gabriel who are both in white. Pink is Marinette’s colour in this rewrite, with red representing Ladybug. So having Rose in pink would destroy that. So I put her in a baby blue instead with pink accents.

Her dress in canon is so ugly and unflattering, I had to change it. Nothing to salvage just burn it. She’s now a y2k picnic bitch.

And she runs an aesthetic bullet journal blog in her spare time, using all the cute stickers. She’s also trying to get funds to start an “akumatised therapy center”, where people who were traumatised by their akumatisation can enter a support group and heal together and hopefully not get akumatised again. Feels like a very Rose thing to do.

Oh man. Canon Pigella. Wow. Probably the best transformation sequence, best power and WORST DESIGN in the show. I think the designers struggled to make her “pig-like” without it looking weird. But the result was an ugly suit with an ugly skirt and a weird pink plastic thingie on the chest. If think if you showed a picture of Pigella to someone who doesn’t know Miraculous, they’d not make the pig connection. So I straight up gave her proper pig ears, and pigs often have brown patches and spots. So I removed the ugly bright pink and replaced it with soft pastels and browns. Problemo solved.

Idk if it’s copyrighted, but if I had it my way she’d be called Miss Piggy.

Alix!

Alix’s canon design isn’t awful, just a bit boring. And misleading. The snake arms kinda led you to believe that she might get the snake Miraculous, but I guess not. I’d still love to see a snake Alix at some point though.

So my revised Alix is a bit different from canon. She’s quite introverted and mostly keeps to herself, but accidentally becomes the mysterious cool girl. Oops amiright? (Quick reminder that in this rewrite the Miraculous were lost and spread out across Paris before the series began) Like Lila she found a Miraculous prior to the series beginning, and has been using it for a little while in secret. Not for evil obviously, just for normal daily stuff. I hate Time Travel in Miraculous, so instead Bunnix has different time powers. She can slow down, speed up and temporarily stop time. And she mostly uses this power to sleep in and then not be late for school. Normal stuff really. She’s also very observant and is quick to figure people out. Aka she doesn’t like Lila and can see through her bullshit.

So redesign wise I drew heavy inspiration from Billie Eyelashes. She’s short and stocky (can and will supplex you) and likes sports, so she wears sporty clothes (duh) but make it stylish. Like she picks her clothes because they’re appropriate for physical activities, but accidentally becomes a fashion icon in school. What a legend. I like her canon shorts and layered top, so I wanted to keep them in spirit.

And then Bunnix... Canon kinda forgot who Alix is and just slapped a boring skin tight suit on her and called it a day. So my main goal was to give her a more interesting silhouette. And she’s not older anymore, since there’s no time travel. To match her civilian self she’s in a casual cropped hoodie (yes the hoodie has holes for her bunny ears), a cool shaved haircut and god damn roller blades. Would that kinda mess with canon? I guess, but Alix needs her skates to GO FAST. She still has her umbrella, I just suck at drawing poses with weapons.

There ya go! I wonder who’s next?
