Our second day of Tokyo was packed. We planned to go to the Peter Rabbit’s Cafe but it was an hour away from the hostel. So, we did a pit stop at the famous Shibuya Crossing. Like most reviews, the best views of the crossing was at Starbucks. We took a quick picture of the Hachiko statue, the famous dog who waited for his owner at the station every day until he passed away. Next, we grab some food at Starbucks and got some seats with a great view of the Shibuya Crossing. Starbucks was crowded as well.
Then, we took a train ride to Jiyugaoka. The train took us to a small French town. Finding the cafe wasn’t too difficult. You noticed how cute the cafe is with its open patio and Peter Rabbit theme. When you walk in, the place feels cozy and warm. When they take you to your table, there’s a stuff Peter Rabbit waiting for you. The food was amazing! Since it was the fall, there were some Halloween specials. Like baked pumpkin soup oozing with melted cheese. I was stuffed and could barely finish dessert.
Our next stop was Harajuku, a shopping district full of interesting fashion. There was one main famous street (Takeshita Street) in the area that was crowded with people. It was difficult to walk around. The main street had a variety of boutiques, trendy shops, used clothes, and food stalls. It was fun going through the stores because each one had its own style. We probably walked around for 3 hours.
Our last stop for the day was the bunny cafe in Ikebukuro, called Mimi. At the cafe, you pay by the time. They even have a small selection of drinks. But your hand will be full of bunnies. At this cafe, the bunnies were free from their cages. They were free to roam around the room. They were so adorable!!! It was a great way to end the night.
