just spent an hour of my adult life confirming beyond a shadow of a doubt that the little bunny PNG that shows up occasionally in the new Tomodachi Life IS in fact the exact same stock image they used in Badge Arcade on the 3DS, for that one gag where the Arcade Bunny briefly becomes a recoloured photorealistic rabbit.

i lined them up and attempted to recreate the Badge Arcade version's edits, and they're DEFINITELY the same bunny pic. the only parts that don't line up are its posture (its back was lowered to give a clearer head silhouette, since you can't see its lower half anyways) and its nose, which was very slightly raised in Badge Arcade (it's easier to see up close when you're flipping between the two, just trust me)

anyways. who the hell has been sitting on this incredibly specific bunny stock image for 12 years just waiting to use it for another joke. where ELSE did they sneak it into stuff in the past decade that i just didn't hear about. how do i learn that level of commitment to the bit.

hey I noticed you seem to be having a really awful time of things lately. yeah just a completely dogshit kinda day, been cursing the world and your existence and stuff a lot more than usual. have you tried looking at pictures of really tiny itty bitty little bunnies about it? it probably won't solve your problems, but at least you will be able to face said problems while there's an image of a really tiny itty bitty little bunny in your mind, and in my experience that's still pretty good tbh

two facts that are both simultaneously true:

1. deer antlers are beautiful and cool and awesome to look at

2. deer antlers were invented by the devil to give a special little taste of hell to every artist who might ever have the hubris to try and draw them in perspective

they should invent a new type of "staying in bed for 2-3 hours after you wake up repeatedly opening and closing apps on your phone" where it makes you feel awesome and energized and emotionally fulfilled

I think more people should make fursonas and I'm dead serious. the process of self-exploration that naturally comes along with creating a funny little critter to represent yourself is SO valuable, as you consider the types of animals you vibe with and what kind of aesthetic/colours/personality/etc suit you and stuff like that (fun fact this process is how I figured out I was transgender lol. not saying that will happen to you but just proving that you can learn a LOT about yourself through this design process and any subsequent design changes)

and then when you're all done, you have a little freak you can do whatever you want with! edit them poorly into memes, commission lavish oil paintings of them to hang in your mansion, use them as a personal online mascot, design a fucked up evil twin for them to fight, soak them in milk and throw them at the wall, anything really. same stuff some people do with fandom characters they really like, except it's 100% yours and nobody can tell you you're doing it wrong! also now you have an animal your friends can associate with you and they'll send you funny pics/videos of that animal that make them think of you. literally it's just wins all the way down for you and everybody you associate with. everyone should have one of these things!!
