ok i have to explain Pen's reaction now or else i'll forget the details but it was so damn funny.
at first Pen fuckin just ignored the baby maybe because he didn't realize that yes that was indeed a real bird. he just hopped over to his millet like a fatass.
i had Pen's playlist of music playing and he started tweeting to one of the songs and at first the new baby didn't reply bc he was still p much in shock. but eventually he DID reply to Pen's tweets and Pen was just like?????????? tweet???????????????? tweet!!!!!!!!!???????
and they went back and forth for a while with the new baby sitting outside on top of the cage and Pen kinda looked like he was in disbelief because bird?????? and in between chirps Pen was sooooo happy he was preening himself like crazy and puffing up and just generally tryin to look cool n nonchalant like a dork.
things were good up until i bumped into something causing Pen to panic which made the baby panic which made me panic and i was like OK time to go in the cage little bb.
so bb went into the cage and perched himself right where he was in that pic and Pen just

Pen was like 'OH YES FRIEND!!.... oh.... oh god wait no nononono WHAT IS THAT IT IS IN HERE WITH ME' and he backed away and pressed himself up against the cage and made a sound that i have /never/ heard him make before. the closest i could come to describing it was that it was a slightly higher pitched version of Tina Belcher's 'eeeeeeeeehhhhhhhh'
so Pen was making that noise and slowly falling/melting off the perch [?????] and i was losin my shit laughing until he hopped/felll off the perch onto another one. then he changed his mind in .01 seconds that he wanted to be near the bb so he hopped back up to sit where he was in the photo.
and now they are taking a nap. and i think the only reason Pen is taking a nap too is bc the bb is 'cause otherwise around this time of day he would be eating or tweeting to emo rock.
