Jesus’ Yoke
Jesus told those who followed him to, “take my yoke upon you and learn of me”. In Bible times, a yoke was a wooden frame by which two oxen were joined at the neck in order to have more strength and work together. Jesus declared that those who were burdened should take His yoke upon them, meaning He desires to come close to help carry the burdens that weigh us down.

earlier this week i had a panic attack at night trying to fall asleep. i usually dont try to call my parents when i have issues because they are so far away and they’d only worry. but this time i had to, i was too far gone. beyond fucked up. my dad ended up picking up and i just broke down hysterically.
the next day, he sent me an email reminding me of god’s truths. scripture and words of encouragement. exactly what i needed. the greatest gift you could give me. god, how did i get so lucky. thank you.
