Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 4 hot dog buns. 4 slices of cheddar cheese. 4 hot dogs. 1/2 cup diced onions. 1/4 cup diced pickles. 1/4 cup ketchup. 1/4 cup mustard. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Set your grill or griddle on the stove to medium-high heat. Make a thin patty out of each of the four equal amounts of ground beef. Put a slice of cheddar cheese in the middle of each patty, then fold the sides over to cover the cheese. This makes a stuffed burger patty. You can add salt and pepper to the stuffed burger patties. Place a stuffed burger patty around each hot dog, making sure the cheese is inside the whole thing. Use toothpicks to hold the stuffed burger dogs together while they cook. Grill the stuffed burger dogs for 10 to 12 minutes, flipping them over every so often, until the burgers are done the way you like them and the cheese melts. Warm up the hot dog buns on the grill until they are just barely browned while the burger dogs cook. Cut up the onions and pickles and put them in a small bowl. This will make a relish. Make a sauce by mixing the ketchup and mustard in a different small bowl. Take the stuffed burger dogs off the grill and throw away the toothpicks after they are done cooking. To put it together, put a grilled stuffed burger dog in the middle of each toasted hot dog bun. Spread the ketchup-mustard sauce on top and then add the onion-pickle relish.
