The Burger Please Report: January. Brinkley's. Burgers.
January was a very exciting outing for the Burger Crew. We were strong in numbers and ready to sample some of the delicious offerings at Brinkley's Pub and Kitchen.
With the gang at the table, we started off with some bloody's and perused the menu.
Let's just say, once we figured out what we wanted, the plates did not stop coming, first we sampled their Messy Breakfast Sandwich, Chinese Duck Bowl and Italian sausage.
Then came the lobster club sandwich.
And alas came the Brinkley burgers, we order 3 to split amongst the group, each medium-rare with a different kind of cheese-blue, cheddar, and swiss. I have to admit it, this is one solid burger. It was cooked and seasoned to perfection, and tasted amazing. Highly recommended!
Williamsburger-here we come!
September burger day has arrived! I don't know about the rest of the group but I am ready to eat some meat and drink some beer tomorrow. The plan is to hit Fette Sau but the weather for the weekend looks awful!
Good thing we have plenty of back ups in case we need to divert from our original plan. There is DuMont Burger, Burger Guru, and even Five Leaves up in Greenpoint.
Bring on the burger!
September Burger Day Announced
It's official, September Burger Day will be held at Fette Sau BBQ in Brooklyn. I know what you might be thinking, "But Fette Sau doesn't serve burgers." We recognize this however, summer is coming to a close and as a group we wanted to finish the summer strong by saluting the all American past time known as BBQ'ing. Oh yea, and any place that sells their meat by the pound and beer by the gallon is all right by me.
This Burger Day will be special for reasons other than the end of summer-it will be part of a DOUBLE birthday weekend celebration. Things may get a little sloppy.
