Naked Heart
Effect: Burn [100%] & Defense Down [30%] (One / 3 Turns)
TLDR: "Naked Heart” is an extremely good memoria, and is is exclusive to completing the “Dependence Blue” event. You’ll want to complete the event (even though it can take a while) to get it, because this is on par with other excellent event-reward memoria such as Kyubey Knight or Halloween Theater. It allows you to raise your team’s damage for three turns and is on a short cooldown, making it useful for just about any scenario.
Review: "Naked Heart” is an excellent free event memoria, and you absolutely want to beat the event to get it. It’s (roughly) in the same ballpark as “Magical Halloween Theater” and “Kyubey Knight Breaking Through” in terms of usefulness from a free memoria, and it’ll be excellent for most kinds of combat.
But first, let’s go into its two effects and explain what they do. Then, we’ll talk about what makes “Naked Heart” so good. Burn is a Status Ailment that will damage the afflicted target for 10% HP per turn, and it will also make the target take 80% more damage from its weak element. Defense Down will decrease the target’s base defense. This effect will allow you to increase your team’s damage without directly buffing a single character, meaning that since it affects the enemy, any character can take advantage of it and not just the one equipped with the memoria.
What you can see right away is that this is a very good memoria for increasing your damage output in a fight. "Naked Heart” gives Defense Down for three turns (at a somewhat low percentage, but with the tradeoff of it lasting longer than other comparable memoria), and the Burn not only does damage over time, but will increase the target’s weak element damage. This means you can weaken your enemy and do much more damage without needing to use a specific character-- in fact, using "Naked Heart” on a Support with the passive Spirit Enhancement of Skill Quicken might be a good idea to try and get more turns out of it, seeing as its cooldown lasts for six.
The most comparable memoria for "Naked Heart” would be the limited event memoria “Fire Drake Roars” which gives 100% Burn for one turn and 45% Defense Down for one turn. Note by limited here, I mean a memoria you would need to roll five times for to get max awakened-- compare that to “Naked Heart,” which you get max awakened and max leveled for free. The better positive comparisons don’t stop there. "Naked Heart” also has better passive Stats. While it doesn’t quite qualify as a Stat Stick, it still has an excellent 2132 DEF, which makes it better than average when compared to most memoria, and better than “Fire Drake Roars’” 2030 DEF. Where “Fire Drake Roars” has "Naked Heart” beat is its shorter cooldown at four turns, and having a higher Defense Down... But that Defense Down only lasts for one turn. In comparison, "Naked Heart” lasts for three.
So-- “Fire Drake Roars” and “Magical Halloween Theater” are both going to be better for an immediate, instant need to weaken the enemy and make your characters stronger. However, "Naked Heart” is going to be better for a prolonged need to make an enemy take more damage. This will be good for fights such as the Kimochi, for possible EX-Challenges, and for drawn-out battles such as The Hundred Calamities. However, this will also be good for regular fights and Challenges-- particularly fights where you’re against one strong opponent rather than a few different weaker ones.
But overall, even without going into comparisons and the nitty gritty, "Naked Heart” is excellent. This will be true for any kind of player-- NA Refugees, Dolphins, Free-to-Play, and Whales alike are going to want to have this. Using this on your Supports is an excellent idea.
