Big Beaver at Burnaby Lake (Part 2) I saw this beaver Thursday evening, around 6:00pm at Burnaby Lake Regional Park. So glad I got out to my happy place on Friday to enjoy the glorious Autumn sunshine especially now we have returned to our regular weather program. Four hours from late afternoon to dusk to do the 10 km loop to check on progress of volunteer stewardship work, new areas of native species, say hello to favourite trees, pat good dogs on walks, catch up with local photographers to find out about migration visitors, personal freak out over finally seeing the Mandarin Duck (pictures later), put on the park ambassador hat on and share my knowledge about the local birds and the park, and then notice the time to hustle on the north shore trail and make it back to my car before dark.
